Not having owned a DSLR, I can't give an opinion on brand. I will say that it was helpful to me to look at CoverDoll, primarily the outdoor photos of some higher end photography. You can click on the pictures to find out more about the settings and the camera used. For some fun entertainment, I made a brief "CRASH" video of some areas of rapids. Not everything goes perfect in a shallow rocky river!
