Jenny gave new meaning to the term 'Love Seat"! She was the Queen of Thrones!
Although Dodgeman would probably never say he left here with a trophy (More on that later)
but I will tell you that he won for bringing the most dolls!

Re: Siliconefest at the Ranch
As you have seen on the other pics, Hostage brought Sheanna and she quickly stole our hearts!
This doll is so darn cute and Hostage is her litmus paper. What I mean by that is, Whatever is going on with Sheanna,
Hostage feels every emotion and verbalizes it. Dodge and me helped with Sheanna's neck issue. This required us to remove her head.
As you all might know, this is a rather painful sight to witness for any doll owner.
Dodge and I moved quickly and surgically as to lessen the moaning and wincing hostage!
Sheanna was like voodoo doll. Every move caused a response on Hostage! that only the spectators could witness.
This man Hostage has the most incredible set of feelings and emotions. He has enormous depth, and I we all really loved having him here!

Re: Siliconefest at the Ranch
There were dolls to greet us. The story telling about doll acquisitions and experiences was very entertaining.
A lot of questions are were directed to Dodgeman. Talk about depth of knowledge and Character.
This man Dodge has an encyclopedia of knowledge about our hobby and a lot of other things. He is a mastermind!
We all had an opportunity to see his stance modifier in action so Begog and I both grabbed one of those.
I got an immediate erection when we hung Roxxanne from it. It pushed her hips right out. I will be taking her out for a test spin soon

Re: Siliconefest at the Ranch
the atmosphere was jolly then a hush came over our spirits like we all entered a dream at the same time,
then these two oracles walked out of the forest like a scene from Lord of the Rings. Neoti and Vamina floored us all with their PIB beauty
and Karpos genius outfitting. I just can't stop looking at these two dolls.

Re: Siliconefest at the Ranch
Warning: geek speak ahead, lol. These photos are scans of tintypes made with the wet collodion process which was invented in 1851. I used a 1940's 4"x5" Graflex Speed Graphic camera with a 1943 Kodak Aero Ektar lens to create the 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" tintypes. Each black aluminum plate is coated with collodion [used as a bandage adhesive (among other things) during the Civil War] then submerged in a silver nitrate bath for approx. 3 minutes (this makes the plate light sensitive). The plate is then placed in a film/plate holder, then into the camera where the exposure is made (these plates were exposed from 4 - 30 seconds, this process is slow!), the plate is then taken to the darkbox or darkroom, developed, stopped, fixed, rinsed and dried. The final step is a coat of period correct sandarac varnish to protect the silver image from tarnishing over time. If you made it this far I give you a lot of credit for reading this geeky info!

Thank YOU!! these photos are way beyond fantastic...melduneski wrote:I had such a great time at the Ranch this weekend. I'm a newbie on the forum so it was nice to meet and hang out with everyone who traveled to the ranch. I was so inspired by the beauty of the guests that I decided to go old school with my photos. These ladies evoke timeless beauty and I wanted to capture that with a timeless process. Enjoy!

I'm at a loss for the appropriate words... my adjectives are too 'small'...
Hostage, be a dear and find me a thesaurus please...?
We hope to meet you again soon!

The ranch resembles a chemistry lab in some corners!
Most of the guys got a little whiff of ether coming from the darkroom.
