Post by Serv70 »

Guys what would you say is the best clothes

I been cruising wish and alibaba and it seems wish is really cheap and I want to buy but

I only know the chest is DD but I see that there is a bust undercup and then there is a dress size. Aka xs and on mini dresses is xxs

I feel that some dresses are not going to fit

Any guide on this

Since I have several different dolls of various sizes... I generally have found the one size works well for me. For busty dolls many times you will find that if you get a small it will fit the waist and hips but not the boobies 8O so you might have to go a size bigger and use the old art of safety pins to fit the dress correctly. I know the women who have the same problem when shopping for outfits when they have bigger than normal boobies... :glou:

Does anyone have any specific info on Kimber’s bra size? I’m not entirely sure what DD means when purchasing bras because the sizing between sites is totally diffferent.

I have been wanting to get a Kimber doll myself, mainly for photography, and a dress mannequin, but hope it will also teach me what to expect from tpe, so if I decide to buy a man doll, I will know what to expect from TPE, as I am not particularly rich and if I find it too fragile, I won't bother.

As for staining, can you put pantyhose on first, then darker clothing? I have a star trek costume that I want to try on Kimber and as most of it is black, I would be inclined to use pantyhose on the legs, and something similar for the torso.

We need to be able to ask for tpe examples, so we can test if such theories work before trying it our dolls. Is there a tpe offcuts sell section within this forum for such purposes?

Ok, basically avoid cheap online market (EBay, Amazon, ETSY, etc) lingerie and clothes as these have cheap dyes and production, so the dyes will run and become entrained on the tpe when it sweats.

Always thoroughly wash the clothes, to wash out loose dyes.

Consider OP Shop/Thift shop, charity shop second hand clothes, as then have been washed extremely well, so rarely any dye to be lost.

Select tones similar to skin tone, or go for whites , Browns OK with Ebony and brown, darkest tan and cocoa skin tones.

Another tip Setevoltas came up with    was cling wrap under the clothing for photo shoots, to make a protective barrier, but again, never store tpe dolls in the aforementioned clothing types (except light colors and op shop second hand) for extended periods as exposure is proportional to amount of satin carry over.

These are some great tips!!! Thanks for this, I've been shopping on AliExpress. It's cheap, but I'm sticking to Whites and Cotton/Knitted/Spandexy material..
Going to try to avoid those crazy colors for the time being.

As a curiosity has anyone ever tried sealing the inside of clothing items with a clear flexible acrylic spray-on primer? Or maybe scotchgard? Of course you would have to wash it after it cures, to loosen up the fabric again, might be worth a try!

Just a thought!

Also, doing more research for clothing I found this:

https://www.sizeguide.net/measure-your- ... thing.html

Looks helpful for those of us in the States, I'm sure this lady can probably send you lot somewhere for EU measures as well.

Almost all of Erika's wardrobe has come from Wish.com.
She's a 158cm and the s/xs seems to fit well, without pinning or clips.
150cm to 160cm in kids clothes works well too.
Casual wear.

The jellies are a bit big for her but they still look right, I think.

Boots from Wish, too.

And Wish is a great place for the naughty little outfits at a cheaper $ than most other sites I've found.

Wish also has some nice body and catsuits that fit well.

Socks were separate.
Most of the venders on Wish have pretty good size charts, so just put a tailors tape on your gal and order accordingly.
Always thoroughly wash any items before putting them on your gal!
And have fun! :glou:

You've chosen some intersting items there, for sure. And some of them are ooooeee, baby! And taste aside, as long as you are having fun, who cares! Thanks for the input for sure on feasible sizes, and giving us an idea what they might look like!

I was gonna ask if it's a Kimber, but I see your measurements there, in English.

My plan is to make some clothes myself. I have a really kickass bernina sewing machine, all I really need to do it right is a female tailoring torso.

My first purchase for my Kimber is definitely going to be some PJ's. Thing I miss most is having a female form to snuggle up with. I'm trying to figure out a good snuggle suit, to prevent me from damaging the skin of this doll when it comes. I've never had a problem with petite organic females during snuggletime, but....these dolls are considerably more vulnerable.

My Kimber mini has been in my bed for over half a year.
The socks have kept the toe nails in place and the "mittens" have worked for the fingernails.
The eyelashes disappeared into the bed or washing machine and the pretty lip colouring has faded.
Other than that, she is generally a few degrees cooler than body temperature but as it is an stinker of an Aussie summer it's ok.
Using a towel and covering the hands and feet also helps prevent them from getting tangled and broken when moving the doll on the bed.
