Nice work, Oldjacket! Pennie's hips have been in for a while now and she is a pure joy! Those joints are a work of art, it's almost a shame that they will be hidden forever. Thank goodness those hip failures are behind us. It's been a few years now since any major skeletal issues have come up. Not t...

Zygarin, If you are willing to pay someone to fix her, why not contact the folks at Lovable Dolls? They have a Doll Hospital service, and if I recall correctly, they will repair a doll from any company. They are allied with 4woods from Japan, so they may be able to get replacement parts, if needed, ...

Gordon, Water can get behind the face, but the face can be removed for drying so that is not a concern for damage. However, when you get your doll check to see if the neck joint protrudes through the silicone inside of the neck. This is something that occasionally happens but will not effect the fun...

Gordon, All RDs come with the neckbolt. The body and face will be a little different. RDs are made with platinum silicone that will feel slightly different from tin. Not bad, just a little different. Hard too explain. Also, when they went from solid heads to FaceX some faces did change slightly, bes...

Aquilla, Try as I may, I can't figure out a way to test the silicone to determine what type of curing agent it uses. By the way, the tin and platinum silicones come as two component systems, the difference is the type of catalyzing agent used. Silicone adhesives are a single component with a blockin...

Aquillia, Lots of good info you've been given, I'll add what I can. If the insert is silicone and you plan on injecting additional to fill in any voids, insert the needle straight into the end of the nipple to a depth of about 6 mm, then angle the needle tip into the void area. When you angle the ne...

Kazuo, Welcome to the Doll Forum! Always, always wash any clothing before putting it on your doll to remove any excess dye that will stain the silicone! I've found that adding household ammonia to the wash water does an excellent job of stripping any loose dye away. If clothing does stain your doll,...

Midnight, I don't know why Melanie wasn't there. You'll have to ask KA. All in all it was a great time! 2 cross country trips with my buddy Euchre and my girls finally got to do some traveling and meet their friends. Of my two girls, Delilah definitely got the lion's share of attention. I kept Phoeb...

Phoebe's four year old repair kit still cures just fine. I've always made all my repair mixes volumetricly with syringes. Always shake the catalyst before using. Store the kit in a zip lock freezer bag in a cool dark place. Air, heat and light are enemies of catalysts of all kinds. It could be that ...
