Re: Most EPIC unpacking ever.! She's ALIVE.!
This is so cool. Even stop motion with tiny models is horrific. Manipulating and posing a full sized doll must have been painstaking. Great set of videos.

Re: Which lens gives the better modelling for portraits?
Yes - the second lens is 50mm which translates to 75 to 85 or so mm and the old lens is a 85 which translates to 110 to 120 or so. I like working with the longer lens but wondering if it's flattening the sculpture too much? Best wishes Harem I thought the older lens was longer - to answer your ques...

Re: Which lens gives the better modelling for portraits?
Those images taken with the auto focus lens are all soft. Are you saying the auto focus doesn't work, or you don't know how to make it do what you want? You should really be shooting fully manual if you want control. Which camera body is this?

Re: Newbie Here
There's a video on Youtube from a guy who was sent a doll from Premiumdolls. The fingers were a dead giveaway that this isn't a proper Jinsan doll. They looked like they were all twisted, like they had solder for finger bones, as opposed to the stiffer finger bones the real ones have. If anyone's cu...

I just noticed that - I was following a link from Reddit to the doll "Taylor," as I'd never seen this body before.

Re: 166-C/273 The Irresistible Siren - Saber
I'm a featherweight, and I can move my 166C with one arm if she's lying flat, so this body is not unmanageably heavy - and mine is made from Ultrasoft TPE, which means she weighs more than the standard 33kg. thnx. Are there different 'versions' of that WM 166C? didn't know that. Depending on the re...

Re: Lifetime of TPE doll without powdering and rehydration
Here's the thing: There is obviously no consistency whatsoever with the TPE blends, at least from Jinsan. Both of my doll bodies are made from Ultra Soft TPE. The first leeched oil like crazy, the latest one was watched like a hawk during production. That may be because there were two, not one, vend...

Re: Lifetime of TPE doll without powdering and rehydration
So I wonder where that leaves people with dolls like Piper Dolls, which are legendary for being super soft. Does that mean that Piper Dolls, and dolls from Doll Forever, are going to start falling apart like an epidemic? Or could there be something about the TPE from WM Dolls that is causing them to...

Re: Lifetime of TPE doll without powdering and rehydration
What kind of TPE are your dolls made from Dollover? Mine are ultra soft, which feel like they'd be less prone to brittleness and dryness, which makes me doubt the opinions that harder is best. Have you tried using a heat gun onto these areas to attempt to reflow the TPE? I wonder if Mishka would hav...

Re: Lifetime of TPE doll without powdering and rehydration
What do you mean when you say that your doll is falling apart? I've read a few stories about dolls deteriorating and can't figure out what that means. Does the TPE dissolve? Does it become brittle and crumble? Or does it just go mushy and lose its shape? Or are you just talking about taking more da...

Re: Lifetime of TPE doll without powdering and rehydration
Agreed Dollover2000, I have 19 dolls some start to deteriorate after months. My WM 166c that I got only 6 months ago is already falling apart and I barely use her. She is made of very soft TPE, but still frustrating as I also have a WM170H that is bought second hand and also my WM 168e Anastastia t...

Re: Natalia Laura Cavo - A Kimber Doll Sweetheart
What's the neck bolt connector like? This is made by Jinsan, right? Does this mean that it will connect with other Jinsan heads? It is the typical screw thread. I have not measured it. The WM quick connector will not screw into it. If any of that helps. No, it is not made by Jinsan to my knowledge....
