I think they all have potential. Look into getting a wig brush (one with plastic loops) and see what you think about them after cleaning them up.

I second that. Always give your doll a third point of contact when trying to let them stand.

Have you tried rotating her arm forward and then down to a resting position?

Thrift stores are a less expensive way to find clothing and a good way to get comfortable with shopping for your doll.
