Yeah it's no big deal curious_guy, just go with the towel / microfiber blanket solution. I usually always have something under the doll, keeps her and the below surface cleaner, absorbs any oil.

For clothing it's fine, usually washes out.

Another vote here for rounded off leg ends.

They should blend seamlessly into the ass and hips, there's no other good way to do it!

These are better than many, but the "chopped-off" look is a turn off.

Arms are also a good idea, but there are good aspects both ways on that.

Yeah...I usually leave mine on for much longer as well. The way I see it, it's so important that I don't want to skimp. I don't want "barely" enough air drying, I want to do more than enough. I leave it on at least overnight. I use a Tetra 150 for single hole drying, Tetra 300 for two holes.
