My little lady, Aurelia

A couple of months ago, I noticed a 100cm for sale here on the forums and decided to order her even though this model had rough time following its release. After doing some reading on the doll, I was torn between the skeletal troubles the doll has had and the beauty of the face and slender body. I guess I'm a sucker for beauty, because I went ahead and ordered the doll despite the fact that it already had a broken leg and would likely suffer further injuries in the future. But, it was a good price, so I figured it wouldn't be that huge a loss even with future damage.

A couple of months later: I don't regret it. She has indeed suffered a broken back and broken knee since arriving, but I'm just so smitten with her that I can't even be mad. I'm not mad, but I am disappointed by this lapse in quality from DS. I understand that DS is storied for creating quality products, so it's a bit of a letdown to see this kind of situation with one of their dolls. But, they certainly did get the aesthetic right; she's a lovely lady to look at. So much so that she's turned me into a DS fan, and I'll be looking at ordering a life-size lady in the next year.

Anyway, I've finally had some time now that Fall quarter is over to buy my girl something to wear, and to shoot some amateur photos. I thought I may as well post them here and contribute to the photographic collection of this now-extinct species of little lady.

She's a fun girl to work with. Enjoy.

Wow these are some amazing photos of Aurelia and glade to see another 100cm DS owner and her poses are very adorable , Hope to see more of her ~!!

Really annoying with the injuries she has suffered....poor little doll lady.
Hope she will have no further injuries in the future.

I must congratulate you on these Pics. This...

....Is not only uttery sweet, but you have conveyed a true sense of maturity in her. To my mind many of the small dolls appear far to young in many pictures of them, but not so in this case Bravo Sir!

Aurelia is truly lovely and I can see why you can look past any issues with ease.

Thanks for the compliments, fellas. Mongoose, I actually have old boy Lone Ranger to thank for the source on the dress--he posted a link to one of the dresses he ordered for one of his 100cm girls in another thread a while back, as well as posting that a size 2T works reasonably well. I did some perusing through Amazon and found this dress there:

I ordered it in a size 2, and it has a good length, but it was definitely a bit wide for Aurelia, so I gathered up the excess in the back and secured it with a couple of safety pins. It's not the most elegant solution, but they were inconspicuous enough that they didn't how up in the photos (I think!).

And, Karrot, yeah I tried my best to capture her in a more mature light, though that can be a bit difficult with her small size. The persona that she has (in my mind, at least) is that of a lady with a sense of class and elegance about her, yet who is still able to exude a sense of sensuous playfulness. She's a lovely lady.

Aurelia is absolutely stunning! Sorry you had to experience all the maladies that surrounded the DS100's during the initial release. I am ecstatic that you can overlook these faults and love her as she needs to be loved. Great poses and super cool outfit! Aurelia is a special lil gem!

She's utterly alluring and convincing. From your photos and her attitude one would never dream that she wasn't full size.

Aurelia is a very beautiful and a very special little lady. I'm glad I helped with her wardrobe, she looks spectacular and seems to be very happy.

I strongly recommend that you think about getting her fixed up. DS (EXDoll) will send you the parts and if you are not skilled with a blade and a wrench, samara78 is the magician who could fix her up like new.
