I can say, there are other TDF accredited doll label manufacturers that source from the same factory facilities, with differing business models that meet criteria for accreditation.

Advertised as 29kg now revealed actually 32 kg dont manufacturers know what scales are for.....Too Heavy and disappointing. There are hundreds of equally attractive competitors out there way below 29kg and also 32kg and at great prices. Next question what is the exact weight of Mini ?

You do know those equally attractive competitors also have a tendency to under-weigh advertise as well.

Most do not include head weight, and advertise body-weight, there are many topics on this both Sandro at Doll studio and Jeff at BCD have spent time on this.

So chances are you will have the same issue with most dolls from China.

Given how much you rate the Kimber Doll, perhaps you would be better served forgetting about this particular doll?

As for weight, weighing without the head is very common practice within this industry...and around 30kg is not terribly heavy for a TPE lady. You will only get much less than that for a doll this size in Silicone btw...even the WM 157 is 28kg (minus head again).

Prices and quality look attractive but facts not right as for weight..surely one should know what actual nett wgt is inclusive of head. The mini has been advertised customers apparently paid but product has not yet been cleared into UK as legal surely one would have clearance before advertising and taking payments and from a business point of view as an importer exporter this would have been a preferred modus of operandi for me.

What really...... like the merchants do on eBay, and numerous other online market places were brands also have online store, and like almost every Chinese doll maker site as well, that is a very UKLDF member Dollicious thing to surmise...as that post has already been addressed on that forum as well.

...and for the umpteeth time, there is NO law saying the KD MN is illegal in the UK, nor that it is considered as obscene either (therefore one can not not assume that it is possibly illegal either.)

Firstly, whether or not the doll has been created for sexual use;
Secondly, whether or not the doll has sufficient characteristics of a child that it is plainly to be looked at and used for its childlike appearance?

Clearly not the case with the KD models, as both have very adult features, ergo do not meet the second, nor therefore third elements for any case for any possible illegality.

As for the weight, well noting that almost all Chinese doll makers under quote the weight, suggest you start looking at the USA based alternatives.

We appreciate your concerns regarding the varying weight discrepancies that have arisen since Mav's review posted last week. Mav's done a fantastic review that we greatly appreciate.

Rest assured, we are the first to raise our hand and apologise if we've done wrong or caused any confusion, but, our weighing is done by strain gauge (digital and spring) with each Kimber Doll suspended, rather than using bathroom scales. We're lucky to have this kind of equipment lying around as we've been involved with engineering projects for 15+ years. We weigh our products with a digital strain gauge and then additionally with spring scales, before taking an average for the weights that we advertise.

We double-checked all weights this morning with Kimber Doll's from the most recent production.
