Tria:. All right, let me have it......

Harvey: What do you remember about the day that we got to this camp site?

Tria:. Not much..... I remember being dizzy and nauseated, then nothing till I woke up and talked to you before going out again...... but that was from the brew, wasn't it??

Harvey:. Yes, the going back out was, but there was a small bit that you missed.....

hmm what could she (and i ) be forgetting? i don't remember anything else happening, and where is anita she's been gone a long time now.

Harvey:. When we got here, that was a major Heatstroke that you suffered.....a bad one....I know you're gonna think I'm crazy, but Lt, you died....

Tria sits quietly for a minute...

Tria:. What do you mean by died?

Harvey:. I mean died as in dead..... kaput....no mas..... game over, quit breathing, no heartbeat, died.....

Tria:. So how am I here now, talking to you? And how am I up and about just days after a major stroke? I feel fine....in fact, I feel great..... I don't think I've ever felt better......

Harvey:. That's definitely the brew...... you've only been awake a couple of hours, so you may not have noticed...... think for a second about your eyesight, your hearing, your sense of smell.......all greatly heightened, right?

Tria concentrates for a minute......then smiles a bit.....

Tria:. Yeah, and now that you mention it, you could use a shower yourself.......

Harvey:. (sniff)....eecchhh, you're right.... well, I'm glad you're taking this so well so far, but I need to tell you a story about me before I go on....

Tria:. Please do.....

Harvey: OK, you remember I told you that Anita and I have known each other for as long as I can remember?..... well, when I first met her, I was about seven years old. I was out playing in these very woods, and I fell into a dentist of copperheads. I must have been bitten fifteen or twenty times.......

Harvey:. Well, that's when Anita found me. She carried me to her hut, and gave me the same brew that you've been drinking. I'll never forget the smell of that stuff......

Tria:. Wait a minute..... how could a seven year old girl have carried you anywhere?

Harvey:. That's what I was getting to.... what year is this?

Tria:. It's 2087.... you didn't know?

Harvey: I quit keeping up.....when Anita found me, it was the fall of 1943.......and Anita looked then exactly as she looks today......

Anita:. I'm sorry Lt., But I've dragged you into a completely different world than what you have been used to......

Tria:. Harvey was just telling me about the sharpened senses..... and then something about him being 150 years old, which I thought was BS.... but now I'm not so sure.....

Anita:. 150 sounds about right..... my Great grandma used to tell me that the Grim Reaper really hates certain herbs, so those are the herbs to take.....

Tria:. The brew?
