They are all quit special in their own way. I am not naturally drawn to the anime look but sometimes things just happen. I accidentally (wrong SKU #, my mix up) and bought a JIAOU DOLL pale. These body is not a Phicen pale nor is it any of the other pale like Super Duck or any Phicen. It's a pink pale as best as I can describe. I was only able to find one series of heads that were specifically made to match. It is a ZYTOYS ZY15-30. Has movable eyes if you like that, I don't but she is different in her own way.

Now that you are talking about the problem of colors LoneRanger, I have the following question.
Is there a list of heads what color they have?
I have been trying to buy pale heads for my pale phicen dolls a long time, but so far they have always been at least tan or even darker

All of the 2019 Super Duck heads that say pale are perfect. But be aware of eBay .. My last 2 from that source were fakes and returned.

Yeah, very nice! As for matching heads to bodies it is hard because the heads are always made by separate manufacturers. Once you have a few figures it’s probably best to order a head before you order a body! That way, when the head arrives you can compare it to bodies you already have (assuming you have a selection of skin colours) and then order a body to match. It may take longer that way but unless you’re like Lone and have loads of heads and bodies to play around with it can be a bit safer!

One thing I might say is that you can buy some unpainted heads which fanatical collectors then use to paint up themselves. That’s probably not a good idea in this case but, in theory at least, you could repaint the head a paler colour!

Lone is right though, certain brands can be relied on to be more accurate in their description as long as you know you’re buying the genuine article.

As I’ve said before, beware of the so-called ‘black’ skin Jiaou Doll. It’s an insipid grey colour and I would imagine almost impossible to match a head to!

My strategy so far has been to buy the phicen bodies and heads for the lowest price I can find..
But now there is the problem that I have some pale bodies for which I cannot find well priced pale heads.
The second and more important problem is that usually no color is specified in the description and they usually only state that the color is as seen on the photo, which of course is not always clear.

They, counterfeiters, use the original sculpt as a mold so their end product is slightly smaller. To bad I have returned them for a full refund so I can't show you a side by side. Plus the color will be off (I had 2 from 1 source that under a digital light had a green hue.. no shit, green as in Witch Green). Also orange seems to be a popular fake color. I had one Amazon dealer who claimed they made their own custom heads. Pictures looked very nice. Was over $50 bucks. I received a nasty, old and yellow from age Kumik head in a torn and dirty little box. That was a quick return refund and a very nasty review was left!

It's always hard to match color.. Check this one out.. I bought a dark plastic body as a spare body for Finn..
As you can tell It is neither one thing or the other. The body is a V1-m body.. well made but the color is shocking..
One of these days I will take some model kit paint and recolor the neck and hands to match Finn so it can be used...
