Warning about piper's wig staining head and ears

Everything is in the title.

The part underneath the wig that maintain it in place is BLACK, mother f***ers(not you people).

Did that wig come with the doll?
I have a lot of wigs for my dolls, but all the doll's wigs are lightcoloured on the inside.
Human wigs are often black on the inside, and they will stain your doll's head.
Happened to my doll too.
Fortunately I got it all clean again, used Indigo's stain remover.

Very sorry to see this, I have had similar issues with 1 wig a while back although not as bad. StainRemove and time will get rid of most of the discolouration. You can usually prevent this staining by sewing a wig cap inside the wig so the bands aren't in direct contact with the doll but this is so bad all over I would get a different wig.

Actually, many wigs have black lining or straps and yes, you need to be careful

Just got a doll from SM and had the same issue with the wig straps. It's a real nice wig too. Strangely enough, the whole wig cap is black, but it was just the elastic straps that caused the issue. I just stopped using the straps and used a hairband to secure the wig to her head.

I've seen lots of dolls in the Doll selling area have stains on the head so it isn't just a piper thing

Piper wigs have that inner lining for their wigs that is usually a darker color for their colored wigs. Either use a wig cap that isn't black / dark colored or choose better wigs really. I have the same issues with my BJDs and their vinyl skin. I always wash my new wigs and you should probably do the same if you wish to mitigate the dyes leeching into your dolls. Don't be discouraged and just let this be a lesson to better yourself.
