Have you checked out the TDF FAQ?

In an on going effort to improve TDF, we have created an FAQ to help address some of the most common questions that new visitors may have when joining the forum. As well as regroup some of the most pertinent resources pertaining on how to use and navigate the website for all our members.

For many, this may be the first forum they have ever joined. That was certainly the case for me. I had never belonged to any forum before TDF. It was a very overwhelming.

While some of you may want to see more questions on the FAQ, we strove to keep it as short as possible and not turn it into another hard to navigate resource.

We’d like to here from those of you who have visited the FAQ page as well as those that have not yet taken a look.

Yes good to see it all in one place.
Would of liked to see the Very Last more prominent.
As it is the one thing I see most that becomes an ugly issue and hurts members the most.imo

Is there anything to do about either disabling automated emails from TDF, or at least an option to no longer auto-subscribe you to threads you post in? I could not for the life of me find a way to manage this. I would prefer to have more control over which threads I subscribe to and receive email updates from.

These things can be managed from the User Control Panel, preferences: ucp.php?i=173, also check your subscriptions: ucp.php?i=main&mode=subscribed and check your posting defaults: ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=post
