Any alternative to Permatex flowable sealant?

Post by ILuvFemsNlingerie »

Hello everyone

I have 3 tubes of this stuff and I've had them for about 2 1/2 years now.

I used it for the first time at the beginning of this year and just used it again this week. The first tube started leaking out the sides and I just put the cap back on and let it dry.

The first question is is it leaking because the tubes are old or is just bad luck?

My main query is is there an alternative to the Permatex flowable sealer that has better tubes or containers that won't leak?

Thanks

P.S. better yet can I put this stuff in a better storage container/bottle for better sea;?

Wow! 2 1/2 years
If anything doesn't get used for a year, it gets tossed, and then have to get more because I needed it about a month after throwing it :(

It still works but if you don't seal the cap back on good it hardens at the top it won't come out lol.

I guess that's why it started to leak because it couldn't go anywhere but the sides. What I might do is peal offf the dried stuff with some acetone and then wrap it with cling wrap. So when I'm ready to use it I might cut the top off fold one corner and squeeze the whole tube in the repair I want to use it for :) It's formy DS doll's right foot.

The caps like to crack on those and dry out in my experience.

It is fairly cheap so I just keep buying more tubes. Often ill use a nail or screw to remove the dried stuff in the tube.

I tend to store mine in ziplock bags with the air squeezed out.

Yeah I found a small hole in the first tube. I might clean it up with some acetone and duct tape it and put it with the other in a ziploc bag.

The silicone itself seems to be okay I just think the tube got bent too much and put a hole in it lol.
