AF170 actual height?

so I see some statements that AF measures the dolls lying flat with the feet extended, rather than standing.

Someone alerted me to the AF170cm, which certainly *looks* tall in the photos (size of head compared to the body), and the quoted weight (46kg!) seems consistent. I see another post where someone bought one, was happy with it but just said "its not 170 though..". I've been told there was an *update*, and the newer version is measured differrently.

Could anyone clarify what the situation is? (method of measurement, old vs new versions)

(FYI this doll does look quite spectalcular but I'm not entirely sure I'd go for 46kg. My 1st experience is a 38kg doll, its manageable. Do I challenge myself for something even more spectacular, or go lighter for greater playability..)

I believe this is true. AF measures their dolls with their toes pointed. My AF 160 B-cup measured about 6cm shorter when I had her standing flat footed. So I would guess that the 170cm would come in around 164cm when standing flat footed.

i think WM does the same thing the WM 174B from RLSD says shes 5'9" stood her up in some flat shoes and she was 5'7". i thought it was bc of the standing position i had her in didnt know that they measured the dolls with pointed toes.

Funnily enough, I've just been looking at the RLSD WM 174B. This is useful to know that she is 5' 7" standing (i.e. with flat feet). I think more recent dolls (the 174B is, I believe, quite an old sculpt) are measured with feet flat and not with toes pointed. My WM 172B measures 172cm with her feet flat. My JY 175 measure 175cm with her feet flat. Both of these are recently produced dolls. But my JY 166, an older sculpt, was clearly measured with her toes pointed, as with her feet flat she's only around 160/161cm.

Hello, I am new on this site, but I wanted to respond, because I have been reading this page and this got me a bit worried. I had a few dolls ordered and some where from WM and AF, so I wasnot very pleased eith what I was reading. But I have recently recieved a few dolls, one WM 173H, one AF170N and one AF165M and I have measured the dolls immediately. To my surprise and relief, all dolls are spot on length wise. That is with feet in standing position.

AFDoll in fact has two different 170N models, it would seem. An older model, and a 2019 model. From the pics above yours looks like it might be the 2019 model. Is this correct?

'The 170cm N-cup 2019 differentiates from the 170cm N-cup for slightly larger breasts (108cm chest size vs 105cm). Waist is 1cm bigger (58cm vs 57) while hips are 1cm less (94cm vs 95). Altogether we’re talking about very, very similar dolls.'

The weights are also listed there with a 1kg difference. There also appears to be a difference in bust shape as well as size, and the 2019 model appears more defined in the body.
