My Toy Robot

Post by MX-V »

A while back I bought an SM 148 doll, she has seen a lot of mileage. Packed away after I got a doll more appropriate to my size.
I named her "Toy" because she was played with alot...I mean alot...
So like I remade my SM 136 Elf, Aurella into a Cyber girl robot, Toy is going to become one also.
Unlike Aurella, Toy will be open for business (A wonderful phrase from Muesky).
Also, Thank you Muesky on your tutorial on repairing tpe tears and gouges.
In other words, Aurella was made as a visual companion, not for sport.
Toy will have great modifications, but the naughty bits will stay intact.
So, here is the first picture of her head and neck.
The face overlays are painted resin, cast onto the face.
I can't explain what exactly I'm going to do, but it's going to be fun.
The legs will be remade and longer. The arms redone also.
The torso will remain, but will be modified.
Here she is... Toy. (or at least, the start of...)

I post this in hopes to inspire manufacturers might see something they want to start making as well.
And also, for anyone else out there that might be making their own creations.
I love the smell of TPE in the morning...

That's a really interesting idea, tbh I'm surprised there aren't more manufacturers who make robot, fantasy kinda dolls

Thank you SomeRandomGuy,
I've been hoping that posting my cyborg creations would generate some sort of interest with the big manufacturers.
So far I've seen several animal/human hybrids that I'm scratching my head about.
Especially the horse woman.

So, just in case you haven't seen my other cyborg I made (I can't help but show her off)...
Here's Aurella holding my Google assistant. It's kind of like she talks, well answers my questions and tells me bad jokes.
She's not designed for "the business", but the next one will be...

Thank you timetraveler1,
She is a great conversation piece and the ability to associate a face with the Google Assistant voice makes her somewhat a good conversationalist.
She has the worst jokes ever but still makes me smile.

As I've been having fun with other hobbies and projects, I'm back to work on Toy.
I can already see after starting on the torso, this will take a long time, but will be so worth it.
I'm going to attempt some more unique details in this one. Such as lights and other details and more important is the sculpting of the female form.
I think there are others that find these pictures beautiful and would love to have a woman like this.
As I have said before, if no one has built it, get busy, no one else is going to do it (unless you have a chitload of money and a ton of patience to wait for it). I don't.

I'm reposting some pictures to help with my inspiration, and maybe for others enjoyment or to inspire your own projects.
These are more attainable ideas with the process I'm doing. Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon.

As I've been looking at many designs to inspire some of the logistics on Toy,
I have been disappointed that not many artistic robots are made.
A lot of cgi work, but only a few that are made and fabricated.
I know of the unattainable Gynoid that is available if you're rich and don't mind waiting five + years,
Today, I stumbled on the Dior Robot by Sorayama.
She's out of my league but has made me jump up and down.
So incredible and beautiful.
Technically, she's a sculpture, but since she appears to be articulated, she falls into the doll category. (IMO)
I just had to share...

I had someone 3d print the hands. Using jewelry wire along with the cord inside, the hands pose pretty well.
Got to figure out how to get the wrist to rotate. May have to go with a different design.

Lastly, this is the alternate head I'm considering having made for this. It might be better to use this for the third one...

First piece done.
Yes, the butt.
This was a test for the finish. If I could get it smooth, the rest would look good.
I'm happy with it.

Layers of Bondo, with Bondo resin, primer and paint.
It would stop a bullet.

HAHAHA, yeah, I did.

Purple is one of the last colors I had on hand. I had to see if I got it contoured well. And purple is my favorite color.

Kind of like it, but we shall see. So excited as I can now see how I am going about the entire project. I have a vision of how she will look.

Also, the light went on in my head when I saw a cloud lamp kit. Genius. Giant ball of cotton, LED lights to put inside, hang it up from the ceiling and BOOM, instant cloud in your home. Something similar for her Jet Boots will give that hovering effect I want.

Speaking of Jet Boots, I just saw my first UAP/UFO tonight while walking my dog. I'm so frigging happy. No, it wasn't the Chinese Happy Birthday Balloon to Biden that's in the news, these were a string of lights. Could have been a prank, but as it just looked to disappear in a hole in the sky, it was pretty cool.
