i would personally think a good way to spray or coat a spandex suit would be to fill fiberfill in sections of panty hose have a mannikin with a straight body pose you may have to do each section and look at it to see if you have enough fiberfill in it to make a correct leg or thigh section .once you feel you have the right amount of stuffing and the right shape , place it on a work bench table and if coating on with a brush or whatever carefully coat the front half of the body and make sure to completely dry , maybe a couple of days , then carefully turn it over (make sure the table top is clean . ) then coat the other side the same way. before doing all this unless the spandex suit has a section for the vagina and rear hole , you will have to cut a hole out , create a sock like area sex into place , coat the outside first let dry , then put it into the doll pushing it in . same will have to be done for the rear when doll is turned over . i have never done it but to me this would be a way to do it! if the doll was sprayed , you would have to have a big area to walk around it while it's hanging in place and spray it. but depending on the thickness or lack of it will have to have more then one coat to build up the thickness while not making runs on the body. if somebody does ever decide to make one using spandex i hope they share the pics on here. but because of the cost i don't know if it would end up beingany cheaper then buying a latex dress up female body suit already made. . no one knows until one is made and how they made it.

I can supply a photo documentary about creating a male latex doll, if you like. On my old laptop I have found some old pictures and videos from allmost 10 Years ago. In 2014 I have made photos of every step, when I built a male latex doll for a customer. I have made quite a fev latex dolls in the past until 2018, when I stoped, because of personal reasons, but since then, I reclaimed some imperfect old unfinished dolls (I saved them from the trash) and coated thm with fresh latex to sell them on ebay. A member hers in the forum also owns some dolls :-). I want to re-launch the dollbuilding in the future, but don't know when and how.
So If you wold like to see the photo ducumentary, please let me know

The artist Deidre DeFranceau used such a technique to make lifesize inflatable latex humans for kinetic sculptures.

OK, now here i will start with the photo documentary part 1 of building a male latex doll.
I used a mannequin, which I have modified a bit by adding hair and nipples out of modelling clay. I made every body part seperately and added them together aferwards.
I have covered everything with several coats of liquid latex. Here are the photos of the body parts.

first off , very cool project, forgive me if i missed it when asking , how did you remove the latex from the manikin ? did you pre coat the manikin so the latex would come off later when dried ? the only draw back i see , and don't get discouraged by this , is the outer skin look, being so rough , from applying
the latex in coats . i have heard of people using a roll on type foam ? brush and thinner ? latex ??? would the inside have been smoother from being on the manikin body , then turned inside out??? if you don't mind me asking what was the total cost of doing this , the manikin , the latex material etc. ?? how much latex did you have to use . thanks for posting this and the pics . am glad to see people take on projects like this .

Thank you timetraveler1. I have removed the latex bodyparts by pulling them from the mannequin (the latex doesn't stick to the plastic of the mannequin very tight).
Currently I am not building latexdolls anymore, but I plan to start again in the future. I want to use a different technique then, because painting or rolling the latex on the mannequin is very time consuming, and, as you already mentioned, the surface isn't very smooth as well. I am thinking of a hollow mold, where you pour the liquid latex into it, and then rotate it in all directions. It is the so called rotorcast method, but therefor I need the molds and a mechanism to rotate it, which will be very expensive to get. I can't afford it at the moment.
The cost for a doll like the one in the pictures is about 120 Euro for the liquid latex. I used 5 liters of latex for one doll. The mannequin was a cheap one from ebay, but this one is now sadly destroyed (cracked in several areas)
I like the fact that you also plan to create a doll. That is very interesting, because there aren't many people who try it.

Nice one Latextrancer - The mannequin you used, did it have joints already? If it was heave enough maybe you could dip-mould with it, make sections, then glue them together?

Dipping a lifesize body is impossible for hobbyists, because it needs a huge quantity of liquid latex that is prohibitively expensive, flammable and would rot in the vat by air contact due to low shelf life if not used in time.

Spray coating an outer or inner mould, or making a slush mould (would be awkward to handle without complicated mechanism) is the only possibility. I remember complaints that a conventional spray gun nozzle hole tends to clog with liquid latex. Thus the nozzle should be constructed like the spinneret of a spider, that forms a canal between multiple touching "fingers" of a flexible material, those can move apart to unclog itself.

Awesome project! Looks like much work! Thanks for sharing.

I'm still dreaming of that one day a 3d printer could print inflatable dolls without seams... why don't we have an Elon Musk for sex toys??

I don't have enough room to dip-mould a mannequin in liquid latex, because I have built in my apartment, and as mentioned before, you need a lot of liquid latex to fill the container, and it will not last that long.

Their are plastic inflatable mannequins on ebay if you want too go with a body suit, just put the inflatable mannequin inside suit and inflate. As for spraying the latex, I use a hvlp spray gun, I put a womans foot nylon in tank to strain the latex and don't have much trouble with clogging of the tip but you will need to thin down the latex with distilled water or ammonia so it can flow freely.
