Yo! Glad to hear you got the chance to compare doll sex with organic sex. Would you agree that doll sex is like closer to the real thing than it is to high-end masturbation (e.g. fleshlights/meike onaholes) and that it is kinda its own third category? At least that is how I see it. I always feel much more "satisfied" after doll sex than edging long with fleshlight or meike onahole. There is something with the overall experience with doll sex that makes it a category of its own and still not like organic sex but still much better than just high-end regular masturbation.
For me- dolls, onaholes/fleshlights, and various other masturbation methods each have a distinct and different utility. While they all can get you to climax, each can have very different preparation, spontaneity or satisfaction.
In a pinch you can rub one out nearly anytime or place. Add some lube, tissue, sock etc and you’re off! Usually helps takes the edge off a horny mood, or just plain useful when stressed or deep sleep is elusive. Oddly I find this method is least satisfying, but I use this method (just out of laziness) nearly 60% of instances.
Onahole/flashlights (and even torsos or mini dolls) I consider a minor step up from the previous. Feels much more realistic than your hand and these can be great training/edging methods. These can still be quick to prepare with just a little lube. You do need to clean up the sleeve afterwards or mold/mildew and other nastiness will ruin your favorite toy. Sometimes when I need to change things up this is easier than disturbing my dolls. I utilize this method about 20% of the time.
IMHO A good doll (one that works for you and does NOT necessarily be “premium” or expensive) can be the closest thing to actual intercourse with a woman. Depending on your preferences dolls can be more maintenance and cleaning intensive. Adding a good quality and thin condoms helps in keeping them from getting pregnant and makes cleanups much easier. I find dolls take more preparation and staging for good sex to happen, otherwise you’ll end up hot, sweaty and frustrated. Dolls have so many additional added benefits such as companionship, fashion model, sleeping aide, and a safe fetish partner. While I sleep with my dolls every night while at home, cuddle with them daily and watch movies or participate in fashion/fetish/photography. Sex with my dolls only takes up about 15% of my sex life.
