Who did you order from? So far the DS Lite is officially not even in production yet.

I will not note the seller here in Dollforum. All I can tell is that the cost was $956 incl shipping.

maybe they started production and stopped to fix or improve some issue?
There is not a better beta tester then an actual doll user.

Yes - I'm sure you're right. DS are meticulous and test and know what their dolls are about. Not enough factories in the past have had in-house people who know their dolls. In contrast DS don't out if preference rely on their customers to do their product development for them. This is why DS are classy among manufacturers.

There is a tiny update on exdoll web of body parts price (don't know how long has been there)
In Chinese Yuan currency body:1380, head 1180, leg 380 and arm 330.

I said earlier in this thread that I believe DS had a lesson to learn after their mishaps with the 100 minis. I think they are making sure that doesn't happen again when they launch this new doll to the western market. The amount of hype that's gone on with just this thread alone is probably making them do serious market testing! I maybe wrong but you can imagine the teething problems in setting up a new factory to produce the volume required could result in something they are not prepared to release yet! Can you imagine what it could do to DS's reputation for the rest of their dolls if this is a flop?
