My first thought if the attachment was glue is how well will they hold. I know flat surfaces, sanding, and clamping make a big difference with super glue. Worst case scenario, re-attaching with super glue is easy on the difficulty scale of self repairs. For my purposes, it emphasizes the braces more which is a good thing.
