In my opinion, Sanhui's make a good first doll.
They are not too expensive and hold up pretty good over time as long as they are well taken care of.

A 145 is good because they are not too heavy.
It took me a good 2 weeks to get used to her weight and dimensions when moving her around.
Couldn't imagine how tough a heavier and taller doll would have been to get used to.

I can concur gonestill's statement. My 145 is even lighter, and after 27 months is going strong. Her silicone coped my newbie mistakes and clothing dye stains.
