That's the problem I have with Riza lol- hard to find clothes for her.
What about Pipedream's new Mandi doll? she's supposed to be for the lightweight market.

Don't think she'd fit Eryka's clothes though.

If I were to go Pipedream, it's definitely the Kitty doll. I see how good your Stephanie looks and I believe she is the lighter of the two. Also you mentioned that she does fit into some of Cammy's clothing, right?

Alas, though, the Pipedream dolls are still expensive and if I were to go with TPE, I still am more in favor of 6YE. Sadly though the dolls are much smaller and that would require near TOTAL wardrobe change. Clothing is a big problem, as it would necessitate a pretty large doll and with silicone or TPE this would mean a higher cost and higher weight. So they are still out of the question.

That link you sent me in terms of those Gynoid (or whatever it was called) doll, proved they are extremely expensive. So to keep my wardrobe and overall size of doll, while keeping weight and costs down, I am afraid that fabric is the only option now. So far, Textile dolls would be the next offering in terms of something that would work. They are not as nice looking as Happy Dolls and they don't have the silicone heads, but the fact that the skeleton is much better is a huge plus, especially since I want to pose the doll a lot. Since you have your Jewel for about 2 years now with NO joint issues does tell me they have a good skeleton. So that really looks like the only option right now.

One thing to note too is on Textile dolls the joints aren't as stiff. When Dagmar's in good shape you can get her to hold all kind of poses even holding things up in her hands. Textile doll joints are...softer...so while they can hold a pose, they'll start to put their arms down after awhile. On the plus side, they are much more flexible so you can get them into more poses like arms crossed in front of chest or behind back, or combing one hand through hair poses.

Yes, I remember you mentioning that. But if she could hold her arms up on her own and can hold a standing position when propped up against a wall or dresser, that would be fine by me. I was never one to make Eryka hold things because I knew that on other dolls, the wires that you use to pose the fingers were prone to breaking. I know it seems the Dagmar was much better in this department, but still I rarely moved her fingers. The wrists yes. One of the sexier looking positions I put Eryka in was her leaning on her hands behind her. But I did worry about doing that position too often as I didn't want the wrist wires to break. So in bed, I tried not to prop her up on her hands, but rather her elbows as that took the weight off her hands.

Still though, the biggest drawback are the plastic heads. I am big on kissing, and Eryka's mouth does have a small opening for some really heavy kissing!

Really, every time I think about this darn skeleton problem it just burns me up. I spent close to $1000 for Eryka, NOT including the clothing. I wouldn't be surprised that was another $500 to $600 because everything I bought her was new.

Yep, textile also got nails...and kneecaps...which add to the realism a bit.

Yeah, that plastic head is what's keeping me from forming more of an attachment with Jewel- it's hard to "humanize" her like I can other ladies because of the texture is so weird on the head/face.

Definitely an improvement overall in terms of the body.

The faces look OK, but they do have that shiny plastic looking finish on them. Where as the Dagmar doll you can just tell the face is soft and has a more matte finish. It is a pretty face, easy to get attached to.

Yes, you had your first problem right at the same time as I did. But I was extremely miffed that it happened right away. So for December and January I tried to contact Beautiful Dolls and I think it was about three or four times I tried to and I received no answer. So that was it for me. I will not deal with Beautiful Dolls again.

Yes, I remember that. But that is the way of it with companies that seemingly give a good deal. They figure they get your money and move on. Joy at Beautiful Dolls was initially VERY helpful, but once the sale was through, getting in contact with her thereafter became a pain in the rear.

That's one thing I'll say is Pipedreams' strength. Rob is there to address issues, answer emails and exchange seasonal greetings with even after the purchase. Even before I experienced their TPE dolls- back in the days of just using their various pocket pussies I've always had great experiences with their/his customer service.

It is a nice looking and seems to be a good made doll, but for me, it seems like two companies are big standouts in terms of the overall quality and mainly the skeleton and that is DS and 6YE. Both of these companies solved the finger poke through problem and they have more range of motion on the shoulder and hip joints. Both have the shoulder shrugging. Just DS is silicone and 6YE is TPE. After weighing in (both literally and figuratively), both offer a doll that is only 57lbs. But with 6YE I would have to go smaller with a 4'11" doll to keep the price under $2000. This would mean replacing most of my wardrobe. Then there is the care and lower longevity of TPE...and so I am back to fabric dolls. Ironically, I have heard of some folks that have a Teddy Babe for 6 to 10 years and they still look good, but generally those in that age have had some sort of skeleton issue. But being wires, the skeleton is supposedly very easy to fix. Many have even updated the arms by putting in PVC pipe for an armature. But it does have me worried if I get a skeleton problem there too.

At any rate, I did drop a message with both Teddy Babes and Textile Dolls in regards to accommodating what I am looking for and hopefully they will get back to me soon and perhaps with a solution to my issue.

So far only thing breaking/broken are finger wires on Stephanie.
I believe Sarah's been here for one full year now and Stephanie just over 2 years.
I'm much more careful with Sarah's fingers- not moving them hardly ever, so hopefully they'll last a lot longer
