Thanks Taeyeon, we had a wonderful time especially when Tom met a female customer admirer.

Valentine's Gifts for Him & Him

As an admirer of ancient Greek and Roman male statues I had collected many replica figurines, most of them nude. I was mesmerized when I saw the Barberini Faun created by an unknown Hellenistic sculptor in 2nd BC, now displayed at Glyptothek Museum in Munich.

Since, according to many historians and researchers, the very origin of Valentine's Day could be traced right back to the ancient Roman festival celebrating their god Faun ( Faunus ), I decided to get a copy of Barberini Faun for Tom as Valentine's gift. Combing the internet I found one small and light enough to be held in his hand.

Not to be outdone, Tom also bought a copy for me. I was very impressed not only by the detailed features of his gift but also by its patina effect mimicking the original ancient statue. Tom really outdid me. Good for him !
