Reducing oil from a silicone doll

Post by Booty Call Dolls »

Does anyone know how to reduce as much as possible silicone oil from a silicone doll?
My friend has a DS 145 and when he touches it it leaves an oily residue on his skin. It then becomes extremely sticky and is nearly impossible to wash off his hands. He has tried washing the doll and powdering several times.
Body stocking?
Any special soap like dawn?

I did not know silicone had any oil thought it was supposed to be so much better than TPE, all my later TPE dolls have very little oil,it my have been baby oiled by mistake..

I had a DS doll which left a large oil patch on my bed, it happened once and didn’t happen again after that so he could try wrapping the doll in a cotton sheet overnight and it should wick the residual oil away.

Silicone oil is commonly used with platsil to make it softer and more flexible, but I've never had it come out of the silicone after casting, even under somewhat extreme hot or cold conditions.

Don't know if that's what they use on this brand of doll, but if it is, and they're using such excessive amounts that it can't be contained within the cured silicone matrix, then yes, the oil can be slimy and then sticky. It's very hard to clean up, as most typical detergents and soaps don't react with it. :(

talcum powder will help absorb stuff on the surface, but it sometimes just makes an even stickier goop if there's a lot of oil. (never tried the cornstarch stuff).

There are caustic materials (like lye) that would remove it, but they'll also probably destroy the doll's surface texture at the very least.

I thought this was more a TPE problem which did take time to reside after a dozen washes over time with my TPE 6YE girl...absolutely no problem now but I do wrap her in a soft blanket when she comes to bed at night

Hmmm that's fascinating
As for my TPE dolls the only time I see any oil is when doll touches dry wall leaving a spot on the walls paint...(wish it wouldn't do that lol)

Other then that never had any problems with stickiness as I keep them powdered just right.

And when I give them their vaseline and baby oil treatments they just soak it right up.
Seems to me it's the complete opposite with silicone.

I never wash my dolls with water and shower soap besides the vagina , anus and oral cavities.(And 3% hydrogen peroxide)

Yep I've had my share of butt marks on my drywall around the house. =0)

But ya thought that was one advantage of silicone was no oil leaking.
