Not having owned a DSLR, I can't give an opinion on brand. I will say that it was helpful to me to look at CoverDoll, primarily the outdoor photos of some higher end photography. You can click on the pictures to find out more about the settings and the camera used. I tried to adapt that to some setup on my G10 as well.
I'm pleased that the background is coming well enough for you and others to enjoy. Thanks for your positive comments.

Going to post a few more pics also. A couple wide river shots in the calm area and close-up of lilies too.

For some fun entertainment, I made a brief "CRASH" video of some areas of rapids. Not everything goes perfect in a shallow rocky river!

Just thought I would share for fun. It is a brief clip.

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to watch these videos again and then actually commenting as well.

Like nobody ever does that!

Admittedly, I have watched these videos probably 100 times because it puts me in a pleasant state of mind.

Also, thanks for your high praise of the work and the beauty of Lady Zev. It will likely be a long while before I am able to top this activity with a doll.
I am probably going to put together another video of a boat ride on the lake at some point. Just to show a different perspective of this activity.

Like you said, Zev is the one pretending to have a relaxing drink while Cifer does the work!!

Hi, Cifer. Someone posted a link to this thread on another thread I was reading. So I decided to click on it - and here I am. All I can say is: wow! It must have felt amazing to have Zev with you as you floated down the river. I don't know what was more beautiful: Zev or the scenery. (Nah, I have to be honest with myself: Zev was more beautiful.) She looked so elegant in the dress and hat you chose for her. And the pink blanket was a nice touch. I'm glad that you had such a wonderful time together.

Hi true_blue22!...So nice of you to check out this thread and see Zev and I go on this amazing outdoor journey together. Your comments are very thoughtful and we appreciate your kind words.
My dress and outfit choice was like you said "elegance" to match the surrounding natural beauty of this really special section of water. The river section that Zev and I travelled thru is what is known as Landsford Canal Park, and has the largest collection of rocky shoal spider lilies in Thee Entire World! Wow! is definitely one word to describe this trip and it is one that I will never forget and have the videos to watch over and over again....

Pretty much an amazing feeling being with Zev on the water...or what I call "A Nexus of Doll Joy"...

One of the main reasons I chose " Sunshine" for the music in the downstream (3rd) video because that was exactly how it felt that day...and I hope people will "get that" from this journey....

Hello Citylights, and welcome to the TDF forum!...

Yes, there was a ton of planning and like you said a major effort to do these videos.
Up at 4:00 am, 1.5 HR drive to the spot.
Unload boat and then park downstream and unload Zev.
A 1.25 mile wheelchair push upstream over rough terrain.
Then a 6 hour boat ride.
A constant paddle rhythm to keep my chest still while filming Zev...
And at the same time looking around her with only my head for steering.
Unload Zev from boat and load her and boat back in the truck.
All worth it every time I look at these videos over and over.
