New to Starpery. Questions about the brand.

Post by lovedollman »

hello,

I came across the new Starpery head in Asian forum
Image

It says Cydoll but I heard it's the chinese name for Starpery.
I can't find this head anywhere. Does anyone know a link to the head?

The new head is what got me interested in Starpery but I have few morequestions.

What is your opinion on the doll's reliability compared to other brands ? Especially her private part. Looks like other brands have this issue with the labia getting damaged.
How are the joints? Are they strong and easy to move?
Does the paint or make up last long? Do you see any faded paint or make up?
Which seller did you buy your Starpery from?
What would be good and bad things about Starpery doll from your experience?
If you own any other dolls, how does Starpery doll compare to them? Would you buy Starpery doll again?

Thanks.

Yeah, but more realistic. I don't really get the appeal of the ones that try to make her look straight out of the game with the semi-anime facial features.

Maybe that's what he's planning?

Looks like a modified Julie head to me, but still very pretty nonetheless.

I recently ordered a 171D body with the Saner and Rozanne heads from Silicone Lovers, and I had a great purchasing experience with them. Nick is very helpful, polite, and patient with all the questions I had. Starpery wasn't even on my list of dolls to purchase, but after discussing my preferences with him (realistic head, good for intimate physical activity), I decided on them for my very first doll. From what I've heard, Starpery has had some growing pains when they first came on the scene (loosening joints, poking finger wires), but they seem to be very good at listening to their customers' requests and improving on their designs.

As a new doll purchaser, I would always remember that many of the reviews and reports you read are several weeks to months behind what they are doing in the factory. A good doll maker should continuously try to improve their designs and correct problems and issues that arise as their products arrive at their customers' doorsteps and get used in real world situations. From what I've read here and my conversations with Nick at Silicone Lovers, I felt that Starpery's good business practices made them worth a purchase. Now, there are going to be other people here on the boards with vastly different experiences with their dolls, since each one is a bespoke model and built to order. However, having a doll vendor with strong factory contacts is key to ensuring any issues you may encounter with your doll are handled properly.

Best of luck to you during your purchasing experience!

Doesn't look like any Starpery doll imo. The closest would be Julie as others have mentioned but there's subtle differences in the nose and lips. It looks a hell of a lot like a Gamelady Tifa.

in short my opinion:
Pro: one of most realistic dolls on market, great paint job. good value for money. a lot options possible. weight reduction.

Contra: oral not possible. inserts too tight. Its possible to improve the communication with customers in this forum smile

I would buy again.

Very nice head.

I think they are quite okay, but I would wait to buy until the body you are interested in is upgraded to their 4.0 weight reduction.

I own two starpery dolls namely Jiu mei and Rong .
Happy with their quality just some fading on their makeup, but it’s not a big issue as there are many many cosmetics out there.

The paint on their skin is still there and I had them for 6 months.they do have finger pokes from the finger skeletons but that’s cause I made the error by positioning them sitting with pressure on their hands frequently. But it’s hardly noticeable and can be repaired with tpe glue.

Before owning them I Bought cheap / counterfeits, and had issues like joints creaking (really loud) , hands and legs joints broken in less than 2 months and so for me buying starpery was really the best decision I made after browsing and searching, no creaks , good skeleton base , realistic body paint and no smells. But do note their butt feels firm, should have opted for the gel butt option.

The face / body is really realistic and skin feels real. The picture attached here is rong.

Hope you have a positive experience like I did.
