Review: Irontech 150cm Camille (On-going review as of May 12th)
I first got in contact with RLD (Realistic Love Doll) through their website on May 5th, to enquire about adding freckles to the doll and customs clearance for Australia.
Now before contacting RLD, I had looked at a couple of Australian based vendors. They were either more expensive (not a large amount, just a couple of hundred bucks) or in the case of one of them, didn't respond to my emails.
With RLD, Romain responded promptly (like in the matter of an hour or so) and said he would check with the factory if they can do freckles on the doll. On customs clearance for Australia, he explained what previous purchasers had done, and said he would get back to me with the Australian shipping costs.
Over the next few days Romain would answer more questions I had, such as if the pubic hairs could also be ginger? In less than a day, he was back with photos from the factory showing what pubic hair colour they could do.
On the payment front, Romain was very patient, as I initially I was to pay on the 9th, but due to have to move some funds around my accounts (ah, the fun of bank processing delays) it wasn't until the 12th (today) that I finally did the payment.
So, as of this point, I can say I'm very happy with the service from Romain at RLD, it's been prompt and answered all my questions.
I'll keep you all updated from this point on factory photos and the time it takes to ship and then pass customs to finally showing up at my door.
While we wait, here's a photo of the Ginger haired beauty I'm waiting for...

A few hours after I completed the purchase, Romain from RLD let me know the transaction was successful, and that production of the doll would begin the following day (May 13th).
Was told it should be ready in no more than 10 days, and I'll get factory photos for my approval, before shipping takes place.

If I didn't already have two IronTech, or I had enough money to buy a big house and all the dolls I want, I would definitely buy one of her.

Romain from RLD got back to me yesterday suggesting to send via ship instead of air, to cut down on costs and any customs issues.
Also, Romain told me the factory advised against getting articulated fingers for this model, as the fingers would be too small and the TPE would break too easily. So, I went with their suggestion and was refunded the fingers upgrade cost ($100 USD).
At this stage, the time frame on me getting the doll, looks like about four weeks.

I want to add that the boat shipping can be pretty much the same time as the air one as the customs clearance is included. Last time I sent a doll in Australia by normal air freight she get stuck 2 weeks at the border (after being cleared).
Boat shipping is more and more used and this way of shipping also includes the clearance, which is perfect for Australia (so far the toughest customs I’ve seen ! ) We use prepaid shipping since a few years in Europe and it works perfectly !!
Cheers
Romain

Good news! It's pictures of my doll!
After a quick inspection, I approve and am told a short time later that the shipping process should begin in the next day or two.
I won't post all the photos, but here is a selection...

So now, I guess she's on a ship somewhere making her way from China to Australia.
The wait begins...

Okay, so it took about a week for delivery and clearance in China, and actually left on a ship for Australia yesterday.Mr Crumpets wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 10:32 am On Thursday, as promised, Romain gave me the first tracking number for my doll.

Tracking site says it should arrive in my city's port on June 18th.
So, two weeks and a bit hopefully, then she'll be here.

Then, who knows how long from the Port to my place (only a few kilometres away).
I wait...

I’ll ask the latest tracking information once the container is released by the customs!

Re: Review: Irontech 150cm Camille (On-going review as of May 12th)
Shipping company's website said the doll had been cleared already and was a state away.
I emailed Romain at RLD and Romain said it would usually go to a warehouse first, then the local delivery company would said more tracking info.
Anyway, a day later it said it arrived by sea in my city!
So, from Monday I waited...
Today I was getting nervous and was not too far away from asking what's going on.
Then... I get a text this afternoon from the local delivery company. My doll is to arrive tomorrow!!!

Irontech is closed until Monday (Dragon Boat festival), so I’ll only have feedback Monday, let me know if you got it Friday !
