Quintina Travel Performance Review and Modification

Hey guys. Ordered myself a Quintina Travel Performance Valentina Girl on June 11. Robert had her on her way the next day. She passed through customs in NY at 8AM this morning and should be here Monday!

Valentina Girls' Travel Performance dolls are their most economical offering. They come without stuffing or an inner core. Just the skin, ready to add your own stuffing.. or in my case, mod the hell out of.

I ordered mine with their round butt option, a zipper down the back and nothing else. My plan is to use the Quintina shell as the base for some mods I've had floating around in my head for a while now.

Okay, down the Valentina Girl rabbit hole we go! Stay tuned...

Well, today's fun was just a bit of deconstruction. A pointy nipple-ectomy and a some throat surgery to remove the oral tunnel. I plan on using the material elsewhere. I tell you, no need to worry about Valentina Girls coming apart. I have furniture not sewn this well!.

One of the mods I'd planned is reshaping the back area of the foot to better define the heel. Hard to see in the photo with the doll unstuffed and inside out, but the heel on VG's sort of fades into the ankle making it hard to keep shoes on them. So what I've done is open the seam, (easier said then done VG's are put together quite well) and will add a piece of fabric to hopefully bring the heel out more and also lengthen the foot somewhat. Also going to try to add something to the inside of the foot to stiffen the sole so the foot doesn't balloon out so much when stuffed.

They are all well made. That's just how they roll at VG. Robert knew I had plans to modify it. Just didn't know how to explain what I had in mind or how to go about it before I got the doll. Otherwise I would have just had them do it. Hell of a lot easier.
