Introducing Monica

Post by AussieDollOwner »

Hello TDF members, it's been quite some time since I last visited. However starting today I now have a new member in my doll family.

Introducing Monica, a lovely little lady at 1/12th scale, and will join fellow ladies Vanessa, Rebecca, and Jessica.

I'm currently awaiting for the additional clothes and accessories I've purchased for Monica via AliExpress.

I've noticed that since 1/6th scale is usually the norm with miniature dolls, I haven't been able to find much range available in clothes in 1/12th scale :(

If anyone has any recommendations of good suppliers of 1/12th scale clothing, it would be most appreciated.

Cheers,

ADO

Welcome Monica! ❤️

And welcome back ADO!

I wish I had some good ideas for you on obtaining 1/12 clothing, but I struggle with it also. I have just started inviting these tiny lovelies to my home, and they are much tougher to outfit than my 1/6 luvs… 😵‍💫

Short of buying full 1/12 sets, getting a “complete” outfit seems almost impossible. And unfortunately, many of the clothes I see from Chinese sellers have seams that make them look thick and bulky.

I have had some good success making skirts for my little ones out of decorative trims sold at a fabric store. Also, I’ve found that the rubber shirts and stuff made for Figma figures will fit them. If I come up with some good solutions, I’m sure I’ll post about them on my Diary thread.

Looking forward to Monica’s adventures!
