Olivia's makeover..

This is a doll that I have had for a while that I have somewhat neglected. As of all of my dolls I will try to change their look, Olivia will have a dark Eastern European appearance. Think Kim Kardashian and her clan. When all is done I will rename her Alina.

First off I want to change her eyebrows to make her more realistic.

I purchased two types of eyebrows. The first one was a stick on mesh type of material that could be coloured in with an eye pencil. Though more expensive I was not happy with that one as it was dark brown in appearance and I didn't want to risk using a black brow pencil on the plastic face. It may stain.

The second item was a really cheap set of tattoo brows. I got 30 sets of brows on three sheets. Just add water.

These brows were really realistic and covered the factory brows of the doll. They are waterproof but do come off if you rigourosly scrub with soap and a face cloth. I was really impressed by them, zoom in on the photos below.

Unfortunately, I had run out of eyelash glue to paste on her new eyelashes I will have to do that later. I managed to get the flash working on my phone, for brighter clearer images. See below. Sprinkling baby powder over the tattoo gives it a nice even matt look. I will return to this post.

The closer I go with my phone camera the more distorted an image I get. The above pics have a fish bowl lens appearance. These photos are more realistic images of the Doll's face.

I do hate the predictive text on my phone it swaps out the correct words with it's own alternatives. Because I type fast I sometimes don't realise and I post some illiterate dyslexic garbage. Then I have to return and edit it. Sorry about that...

Now where have I put those damn eyelashes.!!

Oops I forgot that I named my Chinese import doll Alina so I will stick to naming her Olivia. It's a nice name anyway.

The eyelash adhesive is slow setting and the eyelashes are lifting a little, but as it dries a bit I will push it back down and it will flatten.

She has an added eyeliner with the eyelashes to give her an exotic look. I do have both black and white eyeliner that I use with the other eyelashes but as I can't find them that will have to be for another day.

The last head shots as I just wanted to say that Olivia has blue / silver glitter eye liner, something that the camera may not pick up too well.

More to follow before blowing her up for the first time.
