Teddy Babes or fabric dolls over a large inflatable exercise ball is great fun I can tell you. Possible with lighter TPE/silicone dolls too.

Best of both worlds: We have a futon, which allows Isabella to either sit up (while it is in the "couch" or "loveseat" up-position) or lay down (when in the "bed" or down-position). The conversion from one to the other is relatively easy.
