Zelex 167E WR 4.0 ?

Hi Zelex,

Wondering if your 167E will be offered with the new weight reduction 4.0 option at some point? It seems the lack of popularity of this model was solely due to the weight. Myself included have not ordered this model ONLY because of the weight at 52KG. With the new techniques, I would imagine that this model would be very VERY popular due to the sculpt being so perfectly balanced. The leg/torso ratio is perfect and very hard to find. This Doll is a WINNER. Please revisit this amazing sculpt!

I agree, it's a gorgeous body!
But 52 kg is no longer a possible weight today. So if there is a model on which to try a big reduction in weight, it's this one.

Exactly. I have imagined a fabric doll covered in a thin layer of silicone for a couple of years to make a 170cm doll weigh 30 lbs but for now, it seems difficult to get it right.
So lets again, engineer it.
Seems to me that to get advanced needs more planning. Like the entire skeleton needs some connected ventilation exposed externally somewhere like the neck. Then add 1/8 inch (3mm) holes in the skeleton thigh regularly spaced every inch or two along the leg for something like plastic zip-ties to wick and attach silicone material to the skeleton and keep if from flopping lose or short plastic straws to vent air to/from foam or future air filled vessels. Then semi-soft foam strips, using the zip-ties to hold the foam strips in place during silicon molding. Leaving quarter to half inch of actual silicone depth at skin surface. Similar process in torso avoids using the annoying hard foam blocks and is inexpensive, light and quiet.

The more air that is added to the body to reduce weight, the more opportunity for damage from expansion of that air during transit where air pressure changes when transporting the doll to higher altitude compared to sea level. So semi-soft foam seams a decent place to start.

After proving it out, fancier shaped semi-soft foam blocks for any part of the body to add size and reduce weight. Fancier and more advanced than that (and more expense), create soft plastic or hollow bones like rib cage to contain/replace the foam. Also internal balloons in places like torso and thigh could work but would need connection to ventilated skeleton or access to inflate/deflate due to different environment/elevation of customers adding more expense, eyesore and possible setup duties for such nozzles. Could even make a pregnant doll that gets more or less pregnant with a nozzle.

Indeed, she is imo one of the most realistic models. She is just like a beautiful neighbour next door.... If she was with weight reduction, I would buy her right away!!!

I love the 167E body, I very nearly got one accept for the lack of updated features, I was told that the 167E would never receive the Inspiration series gel butt. The weight was not the issue for me, but my point is the 167E is in need of an update, if Zelex would do it it will probably be my next doll.

This has already happened. Prior to SLE and prior to Inspiration, they actually had two 'series' of dolls. Regular silicone series and Beauty series. The 170cm was actually one of the beauty series as it was modeled from a 3D scan of a real woman, just like the 167cm is - they were both in the beauty series together. The beauty series was more expensive and more realistic. However the popularity of the 170cm model meant that they gave this one a price reduction and moved it into the regular series.

When inspiration came out things got a little more blurry. 170cm left the standard series and became inspiration. As time went by they added the new 175cm model and the new x165 model to the inspiration series. And at some point they quietly decided to add the 167cm to the inspiration series. This is why previously the 143, 155, 167 etc could not get the newer inspiration gel butt - they could only get the older gel butt which was firmer. This is still the case with the 143, 155 and 165

Sooo tl;dr the inspiration series is now x165, 167, 170 and 175. These are all based on 3D scans of real women. The 167 should now have inspiration series upgrades such as gel butt, selectable labia etc. They're working on suction vagina for it - not yet released. And unfortunately - the big question of weight it is 47kg with head on and about 44.5kg with head off. No plans to further add weight reduction
