Re: Dolltime
Where did you get the bikini set? It looks like it's made out of wool and cotton. I can't seem to find that anywhere. I want to get that for my doll.muzza wrote:The Merry Month of May .... and Pornos.

Re: Dolltime
Put simply, I made it.Where did you get the bikini set? It looks like it's made out of wool and cotton. I can't seem to find that anywhere. I want to get that for my doll.
I go to a thrift/charity/op shop - there are several where I live - looking for material, either in clothes already made or other (the material of the bikini set referred to and worn by Lubov is a single open weave sheet, the sort often used in hospitals). When I find the material I buy it, usually costing one or two dollars. I then cut up the clothing - or in this case the sheet. and from it make the outfit.
If you go back a few posts you will see a photo of the making of the bikini set I did for Nete for the July calendar girl pic.

The quality of my stitching and sewing is not so hot and I am learning but the girls don't mind.
Hope this answers your question? (I went to pm's before checking the threads so the pm may now be redundant.
I am currently doing some more. Would you like a photo set of the progress/process of production?
Won't be ready for a month though. I only do it bit by bit when in the mood.

This outfit is one I made from an old sweater/jumper. The 'necklace' is a combination of two chains, one big, one small, a belt buckle and an old broach - all from the thrift shop and costing a dollar a piece. - That is Ozzi dollars by the way, not US.
I like the open weave stuff too, as well as stretch material, but they are devilishly difficult to sew and stitch.

Oh, okay. I don't know anything about sewing. Perhaps if I locate the material I could cut it up. It's too bad they don't sell something like this. Thanks!muzza wrote:Put simply, I made it.Where did you get the bikini set? It looks like it's made out of wool and cotton. I can't seem to find that anywhere. I want to get that for my doll.

Re: Dolltime
Cudos to the doll makers for that.
Gigi_Avril, Thank you. But the truth is I am not very good at all and the outfits I make would not bear close scrutiny or be wearable by a RG. They are only OK for Static display - as my girls are wont to do - and photography.
As Natasha, the August Calendar Girl for their blog this month at CD, shows.

Well a little further south of you where it has rained for 2 months staight I have'nt been able to take any pics realy because of the dark light here but I have enjoyed your pics very much.muzza wrote:September and Springtime - at least it is here Down Under.
I guess liveing in the sunshine state powered by the glow of your girls is in itself a ray of sunshine.
Keep the pics comming!
Also very inventive with the outfits as well.
Should'nt that last one be called "Ready to UN-wrap!".

Re: Dolltime
That's a great pic ! Very realistic, i see a real girl
I allready said you how great is this pic ! The background is very clever and Nony poses as a real model.
Your last pic is beautiful too. It's a big amount of work to dress, to make-up, to prepare the bkg, to pose and to take the pics and you do the job X3, congrats, the result is perfect
Cheers,
