Anyone know if the "Blue" part of her name comes from her eyes, or what? They look really blue in her doll doppelgänger.
well i personally, and this may be bigger for m than it really is since alektra is my favo wicked girl, but somehow i think the doll looks quite different to the original.

and my guess is yes the blue comes from her eyes

ps. i dontt mean she isnt a beauty, i think the biggest difference probably comes from the skin

Not sure if the blue from Alektra Blue comes from her eyes, as they aren't what I would call deep blue. My guess is it come from her being an adult star. Porn films have gone by the name blue movies for many years

I think many of us are thinking the same thing. Possibly not for photography, though. :)

I didn't know they were/are? referred to as blue movies. I'm hardly at all familiar with such films, so it's no surprise I don't know something here!

Oh, and I misspelled her name! it's Alektra Blue. SORRY!

I really love her face, something about the structure of it, like the jaw line, mouth. I can't explain it. Her eyes, definately, too. Some of the photos on the Wicked RD site, her eyes look blue, others they look more blue grey, I guess that's maybe just the lighting/angle and what she's wearing to, might make them appear that way, I'm really not sure, she's so pretty, look:

From the Wicked RD site:

blue in this one:

blue-grey, grey in this one:

This is the real Alektra here, note the jaw line, mouth, and her eyes - such a pretty face:

If I had her doll, no way would I alter her, at best, I might try different styles of raven black hair on her, but that's about it, I think one can find her hair done in different styles anyways in photos, but always in that color, at least to my limited knowledge on her, so I would feel at liberty to do maybe just that to her.

Doll owners get to decide what they do and do not want to do to their dolls.

The resale value diminishes in collectables when altered. So no matter what I do to my doll I would keep all original parts for reassembly before resale.

However, unlike real people, dolls can change their heads. Therefore, swapping heads with any body creates a new personality because we tend to recognize people from their faces.

My doll...my choice ;)

G'day everyone,....

Frankly I can see both points of veiw here,...
If you get a Wicked doll then you know it comes only one way,.. no options.
But once it is home it is yours to do as you wish.

When I get an Alectra Doll I might see how well she can look like Mortica Addams!
I think she has the face that can pull it of because of her strong jaw line, and the shape of her face, also she looks good with long black hair, I think with her body she could just do a good impresion of Mortica with the right touches.
Think of it as her Alternate personality!

I don't think I'd try with any others but Alectra comes close enough to try.

Anyway,.. each to their own, they are for haveing fun with, so time to go play with your Dolls,... whoever they are.

If I were in the market for a Realdoll, I'd favor the Alektra Blue Wicked doll simply because I like the "older" look of the face (it's probably her thinner lips and perhaps the strong jaw line) since I want a more "mature" doll. But beyond that, this doll is the closest to the RD 1 Body 1, but much lighter and with the latest technology. If Realdoll came out with an RD2 version of the Body 1, it probably would be what I was looking for. But, to answer the original posting, some may want these dolls because they are likenesses of porn stars, but others want them because they make possible creating new "personalities" on what are very attractive bodies and faces. I like the jessica drake doll as well, but it's taller and heavier than I want, so Alektra slides into home on the basis of 3" less height and 10 lbs less weight. Time for the 7th inning stretch..... :D

Right, but it just got me to thinking about what would happen if I had a doll version of me out there and how I would feel if someone altered my doll. I just thought it was respectful to inquire, seeing how offended I would be, maybe they would be as well.
When I get an Alectra Doll I might see how well she can look like Mortica Addams!
I had to look up who you are talking about! Then when I saw her, I was like, "Oh, yeah, that's who she is, duuuuh!" I could see someone trying out that look, but I simply would not do that if I had an Alektra.

I'm glad others know what I mean with her jaw line, lower face. Also looks like she has a high hair line, maybe she doesn't, but it just appears that way, or maybe a slightly high forehead, either way I just think she's sooooo pretty.

Here's Morticia for reference:

Image

You can kiss up on her like Gomez!
See, the way I am seeing this, if you were to pull of that, post it online, and Alektra sees it, would it offend her, or would she be flattered, etc.? Maybe it could be like dressing her up for Halloween or soemthing to that effect, Morticia is afterall good looking, I have a thing for pale skin, dark haired look on dolls as it is  , so it woudn't exactly be offensive in that respect, but still. I just have a hard time not seeing alterations as being possibly somewhat insulting, disrespectful, irreverent, to them simply because of the way I personally would feel about it, so I have a difficult time seeing it any other way than that. I see nothing at all wrong with taking their feelings about this matter into consideration, than simply not caring at all about it.
kharn wrote:Well Alektra makes a great Egyptian
Now, see, what you did right there, she does look nice, it's still her, just a different style wig, or maybe crimping up the hair she already has, and dressing her up, like for Halloween or something to that effect. But if one was to try to make her a blonde, try to change her eye color/eye brows, take her head off out of distaste of her face, that's way different than the former. I couldn't imagine doing that to her pretty face! But again, we all agree I think, that one can do what they want with their own doll, but also people when they see that, might wonder why, might see it as flattery, having some fun, or it being insulting, so I'm glad I started a topic on this, maybe I can try to see it a different way, which I have to an extent, or maybe others could see it my way some, too. It's largely context dependent, like so many things. But it just got me to thinkin' with these liscensed dolls is all. I'd love for some input from the Wickeds themselves, or from Abyss on the matter. It's not always good to assume things. I try like hell not to, and to take others feelings into consideration, at least to the extent of my capacity to do so. Even scenes that one would put my doll in might offend me, too. Maybe I am just overly sensitive, but not exactly irrational about it though, but good thing there will never be a dollie doppelgänger of me available for others! Maybe I should go check out the Swanson videos, see what she says again about her doll version of her and how she feels about her, and what others do to her.

I think changing the appearance is the least of the worries, looking at the nature of the product.

What people doing to their doll in a sexual matter could be much worse...

But that comes with the territory of getting a love doll made in your likeness, which is then sold to the general public. You have to stand above that, to be comfortable with it.
In your case, if you would be very offended when someone changed your doll, making one in the first place would be a bad idea.

Because if you found out, people would be doing the worst things imaginable to your doll on a sexual level, you would feel even worse.

Being an adult entertainer, is not something for everyone. That's why you won't find Realdolls in the exact likeness of Jennifer Lopez, or Angelina Jolie, those actors are not comfortable with the idea of someone else boinking their likeness.

Now you definately have something there with that. That is a very good point. I think this might just clear the matter up with me then, in regards to this. Thanks Alex! :) I didn't even think of that! I wonder how much the Wickeds considered that? I think in the one video I saw on Jessica with her doll at AVN, she liked the idea of people having sex/going to bed with her doll a lot, something she said like that, not an exact quote there, but I don't know how she feels about anything else, though. But thanks again Alex.

You can't change the configuration at Abyss, so, you would need to have both the Kaylani doll, and the Lupe doll, if you wanted to interchange their faces.

There's no way you can buy a separate Kaylani head, if you don't have the doll, that's part of the deal with Wicked.

But what you can do, is what Stacy did, buy the Lupe doll, remove the skull, and put the Realdoll skull on her, that way, you can have FaceX options. But you still need a second doll to be able to do this. But the skintone would be the next problem...

According to Stacy, the face is a bit like a full head mask, it simply surrounds the skull. It's not like the first generation Realdolls, the head silicone is not attached to the bodies silicone.
