Re: so sweet lady
Rust, mold, splashing noises, any of these are good reasons to not want to submerge parts of a doll in water. If there is even the slightest crack or hole in a seal somewhere, then even a slight pressure differential can suck water in.dollguy13 wrote:someone had implied once water could possibly enter the enclosed skeletal area and rust would therefore be a risk

I believe this was Harem's post a while back about a TPE doll he had purchased second-hand. The skeleton was exposed inside of the vaginal cavity, and because the doll had been submerged in water, water got inside of the skeletal structure, and rusted it pretty badly.dollguy13 wrote:someone had implied once water could possibly enter the enclosed skeletal area and rust would therefore be a risk
As I recall, the manufacturer of the doll in question has since resolved that issue by ensuring that the doll's body was completely covered in TPE, and therefore does not allow water inside of the skeleton. TPE itself should be fine in the water.
With that said, I never submerge my dolls in water. I see little reason to do it. I clean them with a soaked washcloth and a little soap, pat them dry, and them powder them.
