Yep my Textile doll Jewel is still holding strong- it's quite amazing actually, she still got all her fingernails! lol

It's worth a try, but I'd imagine if you buy a head and send it to the Textile guy, he may be willing and able to make a doll to fit the head.

I really can't see it being that hard actually if he has the head at hand- the only question is if he's willing.
From my experience with him, he's very flexible that way.

Have you checked around to see if you can get an ex-lite from a third party/vender?

Seeing as to how it takes vaginal insert, I'd imagine even a second hand one wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

That's great. I know you had her for a while now and no loose joints? That's the way it should be.

That is what I was thinking. But again, it will have to wait until I get a house.

I could imagine. I know that I would want a similar body to Dagmar, but to correct for the issues that I didn't like, such as better formed calves on the legs and thicker arms. I would go with a slightly smaller butt though so this way I can get normal sized dresses. As it is, I cannot get mermaid type dresses for Eryka because she falls into that dual size category with being a size small on top and medium on the bottom. The only single pieces dresses that work on her are Swing (Skater) dresses since they don't rely on a hip measurement. In fact these types of dresses do look better on a woman that has a larger posterior. But yeah, I think those changes I would make so that she would be a small throughout and could use my existing clothes. So that would be the big plus with going with Textile Dolls the next time around.

Hmmmm, no. I am not ready right now either and by that time, I am sure most vendors would be sold out.

I certainly don't want to get one second hand as I don't know where she has been. Granted it is assumed that replacing the insert would be enough, but I wouldn't know where else a prior user has 'gone'. If you know what I mean.

Lol true that...but if the seller is someone reputable and has only used her for photos...just a thought. But trust is definitely an issue.

Yes, a BIG issue. My concern mostly is the mouth. I know that doll isn't meant for oral, but who knows if someone might have tried it. Just thinking about it and then trying clean out the mouth with alcohol and hoping that I would get into every area? And area I will be putting my mouth? Even thinking of some other guy's mouth on the doll. PHEWY! Nope! Not going there!

Naw, it would be only new in a box for me. But it does have me thinking about something. That doll was meant to have replacement limbs. Since they discontinued it, I am curious if they are still going to keep up with the replacement parts. Probably they will for now. But they might drop that like a hot potato if they do come out with a replacement for the Ex-Lite. Then discontinuing the replacement parts would work in their favor as it would kind of force Ex-lite owners to get the new (and hopefully improved) doll.

Again something that remains to be seen.

It is strange how there's just not alot of choices on the market when it comes to more lightweight solid dolls.

I think it is because of the push for realism. Silicone and TPE dolls have that down pat for certain. Under certain conditions they are good love dolls. But they have their challenges in terms of weight, maintenance and costs. Granted TPE is cheaper, but I think the biggest thing that put me off about those dolls is the maintenance and the life expectancy. Even with Silicone one is lucky to get about 10 years out of the doll. I think that is relatively short given the amount of money they cost.

Fabric dolls do set themselves up overall as a better intimate experience since they are lighter and easier to clean. Further, if you take care of the fabric and make sure it doesn't get soiled, I do see a fabric doll lasting a very long time.

Again, I feel that Happy Dolls got the closest here. But the skeleton is the shortcoming. Textile Doll seems to be a very close second, but perhaps surpassing Happy Dolls in terms of the body. I think Yuri over at Textile doll should think about going with silicone heads. That would drastically improve the look and feel of the faces of his dolls.

I have since learned there are other fabric doll makers, but none come to the lifelike look of Happy Dolls and Textile dolls. The Ex-Lite was the only other one that even surpassed them, but the fact that it was a sex doll you really couldn't have sex with put a damper on things. DS was on to something though. If they would go with a silicone head from their regular doll lineup and perhaps go with a more durable variant of the foam they were using, then they might have something there.

No, most of these are new to me. However, most of them seem below a Teddy Babe grade and I wouldn't consider them. There is one though, the Natsune G Body 155cm doll which is made by Dekunoboo. That one looks respectable and I would say is on par with a Teddy Babe. The head is not attached and it looks like it could be a silicone type head. The face looks nice, but the downside is that the eyes are closed and it doesn't seem like there is an open eye variant. I guess it is more costly to make an open eye variant. The price point is around the price of the Dagmar doll at $837. The arm and leg curvatures are more doll like. Whereas with the Dagmar doll they did at least attempt to give them realistic curvatures, especially around the elbows and the calves.

There is another one made by the same company, but it is smaller and has open eyes. That one is called Aoi Himeno and the head is attached on that one and appears to be also plush like the body. The size is 145cm, so that puts it in the mini doll category. She is cute and the price is good at $586. The doll is far from realistic looking and in fact is an Anime style with the big eyes.

From the look of it, I think these might have a basic wire skeleton.

The 'wow' factor is just not there with these. Worse, with both of them, I would need a new wardrobe. To me that is something I have to take into consideration as I spent over $1000 on clothing for my Dagmar doll, so naturally if I get another doll, I would like at least some of the clothing to fit.

As of now, with no Ex-Lite, I think the best option would be to get a silicone head from Beautiful Dolls and get a doll body from Textile Doll. With Textile doll, I can specify the dimensions and perhaps use all of my wardrobe with that doll. But that seems like the best option for me. I became too spoiled with Eryka and that look for a doll and at this point wouldn't even consider a Teddy Babe.

I have to say that if Yuri looked into a better option for a silicone head on his dolls, his business would skyrocket.

I am even wondering that if he could make adapters to adapt to other makers heads, that would open up a HUGE door into a custom fabric doll that has a realistic looking silicone head and you wouldn't be limited to the selection that Happy Dolls has.

Hells yeah, if Textile dolls can take regular TPE/silicone heads, they can easily become the best in that corner of the market.

That would depend on Yuri. If he could create a doll with the correct adapter then it most certainly be possible. Then you wouldn't be locked into a Dagmar or Anime Deluxe head. The door would open wide to many other brands of heads.

One issue si can see with some heads is they may be too heavy for the current textile dolls. The textile dolls aren't all that heavy to begin with, so a regular doll head may make it too top heavy lol.

One of the most annoying thing that can happen when undressing/dressing a doll as a totally blind guy is to lose track of things like...her g-string.
Yeah, that just happened to me today when dressing Cammy. Took me 10 minutes fumbling all over the damn floor to finally find it. It wouldn't be so bad if my gf were to find it, but with my luck it'd be a friend coming over or one of my bosses! Sheesh...

Yes, that is true. With the Dagmar Doll, she has a keister on her and that kind of balances her out a bit. I know you mentioned the Textile Dolls are lighter, so perhaps that is why Yuri steered away from a silicone head. But the plastic heads he uses must take away from the realism when kissing the doll. This is something that the Dagmar doll has going for it with the silicone head as the lips are softer than plastic.

I could possibly see a plastic / silicone hybrid in which a thinner layer of silicon is used for the skin and this is put over a plastic form thus making the head lighter.

Cute Bunny outfit! I have one for Eryka as well. It is a very similar one too, but all white though.

I can definitely see that as an embarrassing situation, especially if one of your employers shows up. It would be nice to have an audible GPS on such undergarments for moments like that.

Yeah lol, there's actually an app on the iphone that can connect a visually challenged person with a sighted helper so they can get a pair of eyes when needed...but I didn't figure the "helper" would appreciate it if I asked them to spot a pair of sexy panties...lol
