I would have to check that out, but sadly, I have noticed that the pictures do wash out the color somewhat and Eryka appears more white than she really is. So I am not sure if the pictures would help, but I will look anyway.

Today we welcome the last member to join the family: the long-awaited, much fantasized of, the BBW of my dream and a masterpiece, a dream come true, Jewel! my custom Textile!

As in the case of Riza, my first love, I'll be doing a running diary rather than a proper review- since...well, I have no idea how to take review worthy photos, being totally blind and thus can't review my shots. So, come on this journey with Jewel and I!

Note to those who read my Cammy diary. Alot of the preamble stuffs are the same, so feel free to skip a few paragraphs forward if it bores you!

Preamble:

After spending a few months with my 140 CM Riza, I realized several things:

1: Dolls are totally for me. They are saving my sexless relationship and saving me money since I no longer have to rely on escorts for my powerful sexdrive.

2: I need a larger doll. Though I get along famously with Riza, her small size and delicate limbs do not fill the void in my BBW loving soul. In the past 10 years, I've developed a hunger for BBW ladies. My favorite escorts were on the plus side, and to bow out of that lifestyle, I need a true BBW replacement to hold onto some of those golden, fond memories.

So now came the question, which larger doll to get?
I spent a month agonizing, researching, and for a long while, it looked like it would either be a Passion Doll Leanne, or a YL160. CLM160 was also on the list of possibilities.

But...

None of these dolls, though large, really has what I'd call a BBW proportion. Fine, fat proportion... And that's when someone on the forum brought out the possibility of a fabric doll. Obviously, fabric dolls can go places where a silicone or TPE doll can't- being lighter by nature, the shapes can be larger, more plump, and there is the added bonus of the cuddle factor. That really got my attention. I tried to sleep with Riza, but after a bit had to give it up as a bad job. The TPE smell, though faded, is still not very pleasant in bed- not to mention, the cat hates her in bed lol. TPE dolls also can be quite cold, so during the colder months here in Canada, the last thing I want in my bed is a freezing doll I can brush up against when I roll over! Trying to reposition a heavy doll in bed when cuddling/sleeping can also be a bit of a pain. All these issues can be solved by a fabric doll.

But but...

Being blind, my sense of touch is the most important, so how would a fabric doll match up to what's needed to arouse me? What do they feel like? Are they like oversized teddy bears? Or human shaped pillows? The more I tried to imagine them, the more I was convinced that I was going to spend hundreds of $$$ just to be disappointed.

I've once stuffed a blow up babe, and the result was...not ideal... She ended up feeling like a rather stiff pillow, and reminded me of a badly stuffed sausage.

But but but...

I am a person who likes to try out new things, so if I spend the money on just another TPE doll, there is no real surprise there. Getting a fabric doll would be breaking totally new ground, and that on its own is quite exciting...

Agony agony, thy name...is decision making...

One night, late July, I started brousing Beautiful Dolls' site, in particular, the fabric doll section. And I came across Dagmar, and I remember seeing some reviews of her on this forum... Search field to the rescue! Sufficed to say, I ended up ordering Cammy, my Dagmar doll, but that's a separate tale on its own. The rest of my Dagmar tale can be found here:

http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 2#p1166712

Hmmmmmm, it turned out that I could spend the price of one TPE doll, but get two fabric dolls in the bargan... ***BLING*** lightbulb went on in my head.

While I was researching Dagmar, Textile doll also came under my radar. The reviews looks very positive, So I reached out to Textile and made some inquaries. The end result was that I could get a Dagmar from BD, and a custom doll from Textile, and it'd work out to roughly the cost of a YL 160.

...SOLD!

Thus, the ponderous wheel of ordering, waiting, fantasizing, regreting, hoping, waiting, doubting, and more waiting started turning...

The order for Jewel was placed at around July 25th, and she arrived today- September 14th- alot faster than I thought it'd take! When I talked to Yuri, I explained that I was blind and that picking colors and looks via images could be difficult, but I knew what I wanted. I directed him to photos of April Flores- my favorite BBW pornstar, and asked if he could make a doll like her. I was fully prepared for him to say no because of her large proportions, but he was up for the challenge!

Yuri's response time was very fast and very friendly. We shot a few emails back and forth before I was officially on the waiting list.

Aug. 15th, Yuri told me my turn was up and he could start working on my girl. I sent him the $50 EURO deposit, and the game was at foot!

This was a hard time for me, but exciting too. My family was going through some hardship, I was stressed out, and waiting for two dolls was...painful! to say the least... To be honest, I didn't expect to hear from Yuri again till at least October- going by other reviews on how long it'd take to make these dolls, but by Sep. 5th, he said my BBW was ready!

http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... +doll+lend

Quickly I sent the rest of the payment, I think was $930 EURO, and Jewel started her long journey to Canada a few days later.

It was around this time when Cammy showed up at my door, so I was lucky to have her to distract me while waiting for Jewel to arrive. Speaking of waiting, it was agonizing! The tracking thing didn't update for 5 days after showing that Jewel had left originating country. I almost thought she was lost. And on top of that, I wasn't sure what kind of custom fee and shipping handling charges I'd get nailed with at the door. For Cammy, despite the free shipping, I had to pay over $100 to receive her!!! If Jewel would be more than that- since she cost more, that'd break the bank big-time- yeah yeah, I'm very broke ATM, I did mention family issues right?

Today, as I was working from my home studeo, my door bell rang, and, like a jack rabit on steroid being chased by a pack of hounds, I shot out of my chair, sprinted to the door in under 2 seconds (it seemed) and, there was my favorite mailman (at this point any mailman would be my favorite), with a massive box.

"You owe $14 for this," he said.

"Huh?" I feared I heard him wrong...wtf?

"The package, there's a fee of $14," he repeated.

"Uh, really? Only $14?" god I sounded stupid. "Sure! Let me go grab my wallet!"

(To all other doll companies... Look, free shipping is nice, but it's not "free shipping" if we have to get nailed for $100 on our end of the delivery. If a small company like Textile can manage it so I only got nailed with $14- for a doll that cost over $1200, I think all other companies got something to learn from Textile!)

The jack rabit on steroid bounced back into the house, found my wallet in record time, came out with the money already counted and ready. "Here you go... Thanks, have a good day!" and back we went, sprinting back into the house carrying this box that was almost half my size but weighed no more than a laptop.

Whipping out my trusty EDC knife, I carefully of course, with a few quick surgical cuts, opened the box. Inside was the woman of my dream, in a sexy outfit complete with stockings. Also in there was a wig, her head, and a pack of female condom. (fuck that shit, we don't need no condom male or female!)

Good thing I already got inserts ready and waiting...

Here's Jewel, all put together!

DID YOU TRY TO FUCK HER WITH NORMAL MALE CONDOM? MAYBE IS OK WITH THAT AND SAVE MONEY FROM FEMALE CONDOMS

Yeah male ones work too but honestly, just put a TPE insert in there and go bareback :) it feels so much better that way.

Hello Mr. Privatetai,

I was speaking with another fellow in private messages. He bought a Textile Doll that Yuri had on sale, so he didn't have the construction wait time, just the shipping time. When the doll arrived he told me that the doll had a wire skeleton. Was that the case with your Jewel? I was under the impression that the skeleton was jointed like the Dagmar, but just a better quality. But this fellow told me that his Textile Doll clearly has a wire frame skeleton like a Teddy Babe. Is that the case with your doll?

I did ask him about the hands though, as you did mention the hands are jointed. So I am hoping that is still the case. If Yuri went all wire skeleton as of recently, I am not sure I would be in a position to be paying the 750E he is asking for it.

At any rate, I am holding off on it for now until I return to work. That is a lot of money for me right now.

I've never owned a Teddy Babe, so I'm not sure what their skeletal structure is like- but Jewel's joints are not as "solid" as Dagmar's. Her bones are hard like Dagmar, but the joints them selves are not as stiff, nor do they break like Dagmar joints. Judging by what I can feel of the wrists and fingers, the joints might be formed by thick bundles of wire like materials.

There was a photo of the Textile skeleton on here someplace, but damed if I can find it now. As I remember, the skeleton was mostly composed of straight tubes and pretty stout romex cable bound and taped together. Can't remember if there were any actual hinged joints though.

I am speaking with a fellow privately and he just received his Textile Doll, and he confirms this, but adds that the joints feel like a wire.

If you can find that photo, that would be great, I would like to see it. So it seems that it has plastic tubes like the Dagmar doll, but instead of a metal / plastic hinge it is using Romex wire? That is interesting. A heavy gauge would certainly be strong enough, but after many years of use, I could see that breaking. BUT then again, I also see it is a very easy repair.

So the Teddy Babes used electrical Romex as well? I wonder if it is the size (gauge) that matters. TB used a heavier gauge wire and that might have been an issue. Heavier gauge is harder to move, but also it holds is position better. Heavier gauge wire will also break sooner when flexed, and this was probably why the hip joints kept breaking on the TB dolls. Stranded wire would have good longevity, but not good pose-ability. This might be the reason why the fellow I am speaking with mentioned that his new Textile Doll is hard to hold a pose. A more flexible wire will have better longevity. TB went this route this year and they claim that it is better.

This is interesting information.

Thanks all!

Holding a pose is definitely an issue with Textile. That is why for most of this diary there's pretty much no creative posing of Jewel.

Damn, that is a bit downer. I was under the impression that the TD skeleton was more like the Dagmar, but obviously, a better design. A doll with hard to pose joints really isn't better than one with loose joints. In a way I am glad I held off pulling the trigger on a new body for Eryka. This fellow I am speaking to in private messages has really been going over his new Textile Doll well with me and questions came up that I never thought to ask you of. Much I assumed as I didn't know the doll has wire joints. If that is the case, I probably would be better of with a Teddy Babe as they are cheaper and will cost me only $35 to ship to my home! A While I do like the Teddy Babes, I do see them more of cuddling as I am not sure I will find them as arousing as Eryka.

At any rate, it looks like once again, I am going to play a waiting game so see what comes along new.

Oh! Did you get that Valentina Girl doll yet?

Hi Diaval - I believe Yuri offers a minimal skeleton option for those that prefer it that way. It is possible that it was a doll with this option that the person you are messaging bought.

Also there are quite a number of threads here with Textile dolls posed standing, sitting etc, including my own Textile doll Emma. You could take a look through them to get more of an idea of what is possible in that regard.
Here are a couple of links to threads of my doll Emma, that include some pictures of her in various poses https://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtop ... 26&t=79751 and

Really, where to? According to their website, they charge a flat $110 S&H within the US! One of the reasons I haven't ordered a TB yet. That and I'm still discussing possible mods with Rob at VG.

I received that shipping figure because I am in NY and Teddy Babes ship from PA. I would assume that shipping to a rural area out west could reach $110.

Wait, you mean TB actually quoted you $35 S&H? I'm less than 150 miles from Philly and when I punch in my zip on their order page, it says $110 and I did read on another thread that's their flat rate fee for S&H within the US. Pretty high for the size and weight of the package IMO, but $35 I could live with!
