Here here. I retired Cammy because she's just no good for posing and pictures anymore cause she's basically a human size wagdoll at this point. Even having sex with her was starting to be strange- her legs and arms flop around too much and were rather disturbing to say the least.

LOL! I guess that could be an issue as that disturbing thought just entered my mind!

Overall, Happy Dolls' Damgar was a bitter sweet experience, cause when Dagmar was "healthy" she was SOOO amazingly good.

It is very frustrating actually. Doing MONTHS of research to find that the Dagmar doll was perhaps the perfect fit for me and liking her overall in terms of appearance. Then there was the month 'acclimating' period before my body got used to hers and then finally getting to some really nice moments with her only to find in the end the skeleton is a big problem with these.

Glad to hear you now have a house and your own space- that'll make spending time with Eryka.

Yes, soon. Once this covid crap is over and I am back to work, I want to get a contractor in the house as I need to get some work done in the basement anyway. So that is the perfect opportunity to have that closet built.

As far as Textile goes, yeah, no issue with the joints- even all the toe and finger nails are still attached. The hard plastic head is definitely an issue, but other than that, the guy sure knows his art lol.

I wanted to ask you. Is the skin the same as on the Dagmar doll? It looks to be of the same kind of material from your pictures.

Agreed, when she first arrived Dagmar seemed the perfect doll- a dream come true. Light, soft, strongly built, good for bed, good for posing. And then after only a month, issues started to creep in and it was a downward slope from there on.

Yeah the skin's similar on Textile, not quite as slipper but close.
One thing Dagmar has that Textile doesn't though is the lack of "skin bunching," if you store Textile the wrong way, the skin can bunch up in places like when you folded clothes badly.

Yeah, yeah. I said the same thing. I was already talking with you when I was in the process of ordering mine. I think you only had one joint problem yourself. But your problem didn't show up until later on. With me right the first week I developed a problem with one of the elbows.

That skin bunching problem is going to be another drawback and sadly when I saw the wrist on your Jewel, it has me second guessing Textile dolls now.

The skin bunching is not ahrd to smooth out - just takes a bit of time...and patient lol. Someone who's used to messing and straightening out stockings and garments would be able to get that all straightened out in no time at all- something I'm getting my gf to help with next time I can get her to come into Canada lol.
I kind of think the wrist can be fixed up too if I sit down long enough to mess with it. After all, all it is (I'm guessing) is the foam inside shifted and got scrunched up somehow.

Yeah I think you're right and...the wait time was a tad ridiculous for Textile to get made lol.

There are actually many factors that came into play when deciding on Dagmar and Textile Doll was the next one in contention. But the wait time was one of the issues, but since I have a doll already, it is not that big of a deal breaker now. It is just the other factors that were mentioned, including a higher cost that does make getting Eryka a new body from Textile somewhat indecisive on my part.

I think I just have to contact Yuri and see what he says.

Well, I sent a message to Yuri a few moments ago. I mentioned my purchase of a Happy Dolls Dagmar and my issues with it. I had given him the body dimensions and that I was interested in a new body only. So I will see what he says. I did leave the door open in terms of the head and I want to see what he can do. If it might be possible to adapt his body to other heads, I might get a new head from another source so this way I don't have to 'split up' Eryka. As it is the Dagmar doll DOES have two forms of mounting, it is either a post mount or screw on. I do believe that the WM heads are also screw on and most likely the same thread. But I don't know for sure. However, you mentioned you are getting a WM doll...so you can verify the head mount when you get her. See if the WM head screws on to the Dagmar body. If it does, then I am hoping that Yuri could put a screw mount neck style on the body. BUT I have a funny feeling that is going to drastically raise the cost over a post mount style which he uses now. From your experiment with switching the heads, it would seem like that Yuri would just have to shorten the neck for the Dagmar head to fit on it. So that would be easier. But a concern did come to mind in the event if Eryka's head became damaged? I would feel more comfortable knowing I could replace the head easily and I really don't feel like going back to Beautiful Dolls for one as I don't want to give them any of my business any more. So the idea of having a more universal screw mount would open the door changing the head out if need be.

Well, right now I am just waiting for Yuri's response. He may not want to go that route, and if he says I have to send him Eryka's head...well, I don't know about that. God forbid it gets lost or damaged in shipment. Then I am out of a head!

I just find it annoying that I even have to go through this given the time and money I spent on Eryka in the first place.

Hello All,

I have not done an update with Eryka in a long time. As it is, towards the end of June last year, my wife and kids went to visit her brother and I had the apartment to myself for a week. After having Eryka in her box for so long, I took it as a blessing and an opportunity to get Eryka out of the box. Also in preparation for this "event", I did purchase some new clothing items for Eryka.

I am going to put up some 'test' photos first. The photos below show Eryka in an outfit I already had. The clothing I had for her during this time was limited because most of her clothes was in storage. So one of the outfits I put her in was the brown lace neck, long sleeve leotard. I coupled that with nice silky smooth and shiny pantyhose. Of course I didn't forget to include her nice curly hair wig. So this is one of the first photos I am going to post of her. She is standing against the door of the master bedroom in my apartment.

Yeah, it looks like I am going to have to alter the files so they fit better as most of them are rotate. However, I will post a couple of her in one of the new outfits I bought for her. This is a short taupe colored mini-dress:

The dress can be best described as a velour material and it is very silky and smooth to the touch and looks like velvet. It is a very high quality material and I think I spent about $25 for it on Amazon. Here is the link to that dress:

I am going to go through more of the photos and correct the orientation on them before posting. One of the outfits I want to share is a salmon colored mini-dress with butterfly sleeves and Eryka is absolutely stunning in it.

Hello All,

I am back again with some pictures I took of Eryka last June (2019) when my family went on a trip and I was home alone...well, not really totally alone >:}. I took Eryka out of her box and I spent a whole week with her before I had to pack her up again because my family returned. BUT knowing ahead of time my family was leaving, I knew EXACTLY what I was going to do. So in preparation for that, I did buy Eryka some new outfits. After all I had to...she was cooped up for more than a year in that box!

Anyway, one of the nicest outfits I bought her and really I think one of the best outfits period, is this salmon colored mini dress with flowing butterfly sleeves. The first photo is of her sitting on my bed:

They do offer the dress in quite a few different colors and it is a great deal for less than $30. This dress has much going for it and it quickly became on of my all time favorite clothing purchases for Eryka. It just fits her very well and I just like the way it conforms to her breast area with NO sagging below it. It pulls right in to the upper abdomen area and hugs her sides very well showing off her curvature. Then there are the butterfly sleeves that are so nice and flowing. I like to put her in short skirts, but this one is a bit longer as it falls above the knee. I did take many pictures of her in this dress, but a lot are repeats just to make sure that I would get a good clear photo, so I am not going to post too many. As it is, with her left arm having both the shoulder and elbow joint a problem, I really cannot pose her upper body the way I used to. So in the door shots, that is why I have that arm resting on the door knob as the knob is actually supporting her arm.

I couldn't help but feel myself get a bit sad to see Eryka so beautiful and yet knowingly she has a looming problem that I only know is going to get worse. I know that I initially sneered in disbelief when I first signed on this forum and discovered how attached people got to their dolls. But now I know from my experience because it happened to me too. I know she is a doll, I know she isn't real, but yet I do treat her as such. Granted I don't talk that much with her, but in my actions, I do treat her with respect and treat her as if she is a real woman. So there is an attachment there for sure. I do enjoy buying her clothes and taking pictures of her. Oh yes, of course I do enjoy sleeping with her too.

I am in a new house now and sadly, I am out of work due to this Covid Virus going around, otherwise I would have had the room I wanted to put Eryka in all set up already. But I need to have a closet built for her, one that I can lock like I had in my parent's house. This way I can put her and all her clothing in there and lock the door.

I will be posting some more pictures from when I had her out of the box last year. See keep an eye out for that.

Happened to me too! Granted I am not at the point where I talk to my ladies or needing them to sit and watch me eat lunch as such, but when I have to put them away I miss them and I do feel more at peace with them around. There's a level of respect I feel towards them way more than I would other objects- maybe with exception to weapons I train with during work, but that's a totally different type of respect

This is why, even after all this years, I still feel all kinds of twisted up inside when I have to remove a doll's head- the action just seems so wrong on so many level!

I am the same way. We do not share conversations or have meals together, but it is the same way when I was forced to store Eryka. For a year she was among a wall of boxes stacked against the wall in the living room. In fact the chair my wife sat at in the dining room was less than four feet from the box Eryka was in! So that is why I was totally thrilled that I was home and my family was out. So a whole week I had the apartment to myself and I took Eryka out of her box. I got used to taking her head off to change clothes and to me that was the prep state in getting ready for a photo shoot or some time in the sack. I think what still un-nerves me more is when I am going at it with her and her wig falls off. THAT bothers me to no end, and of course I stop to put her wig on. I usually do not like it when a woman is bald, but I do have exceptions and in all cases I was attracted to a bald woman that woman was black. Some black women just look awesome bald. There were quite a few dark women that were bald in the movie Black Panther. But I am getting off track now. So yeah, if Eryka's wig falls off, that gets to me. So when it comes to "doing-it", I almost always have the black curly wig on her for the simple reason that it stays in place the best. BUT it also looks the best on her too, both from the front AND behind. Just watching those curls 'bounce' is very gratifying. But I do hear you as you are not the only one that mentioned they don't like taking the doll's head off and in the beginning I didn't like it either, but I did get used to it.

Okay, I am back with another outfit that I put Eryka in when I took her out of the box when my family was away on vacation last year (June 2019). The outfit below was comprised of a super tight MD strapless, slip type dress and I teamed this up with an off shoulder crop top that had a frill that ran around the upper body.

Eryka was wearing the new short pixie hair here. Now the MD Strapless Shaper dress is basically a body former type dress that I mainly used as a "body buffer" so I can put darker clothing on Eryka (of which I put her in later). It is like a tube dress that is VERY form fitting. The skirt part ended up being a bit tighter than it should be and it was very thick material. The tight skirt part did make it much harder to spread Eryka's legs. But I just liked the taut look of the skirt on her legs. The top is a crop top but has a flowing frill that encircles the upper body. It looks very elegant on Eryka.

In the next shot I have her sitting on the bed and I pulled the top off her shoulders more. Eryka "borrowed" one of my wife's necklaces and that nicely added something to her neckline:

This was another outfit I really liked on her and I did end up sleeping with her in it. The next morning I had to pack her away as that night my family returned.

I have to warn those that like the crop top in that it doesn't have a bottom hem and it really looks like it was cut off by a scissor. It started to unravel a bit and as such I ended up returning it. I am still looking for something similar to that top, but better made. If you have sewing skills or have a sewing machine, then it is a simple fix to stitch the lower hem to prevent it from unravelling.

I do have a few more shots to put up though, so keep an eye out for them!

Thank you for the kind words. Just let me know if you want a more in depth description of any of the outfits since I know you can't see them. I think you would like the salmon colored dress for Stephanie. It is very form fitting around the middle, has a nice skirt that flares out and it has the short billowing sleeves.

I have more that I am going to post tomorrow.
