Apply Benzol peroxide 10% to the doll and let sit for 24 hours.

Thats true if you believe Panter68 didn’t bother to wipe the doll down before he took the picture. Since he hasn’t posted whether or not the process caused skin damage it is a concern for me. I have some stains caused by the wig that I will test before I treat the visible parts of the body.

Hey Tewhano, I didn't wipe down Ayumi when I took the photo. The acne cream did not cause any damage to her or to any of my other dolls. Agreed, on you testing on your gals head first. There have been some reports of acne cream causing pigmentation issues with certain dolls. Most from TPE blends from years ago. TPE blends have improved drastically over the last 6 years. What was recommended for maintenance back in 2017, we would laugh at in 2023. The thought of doing monthly oilings. With 31 dolls, it would be a full time job.

Here are more photos for proof that this stuff really works and no damages. It took 3 days by just letting the cream sit on it.
This is the 1st time I stained a doll, thats what I get for not putting on a wig cap to shield against the black straps under the wig. I knew this would happen, but wanted to see how this works for myself.

Thank you for your reply. I will test the cream on her scalp. Your post gives me some relief that it worked for you.

Thank you for the tip. I will try it later today. Takes 3 days!!! Good thing I have a second head. Would be weird hugging a headless body. :D
When you say it took 3 days do you mean you let it sit on the stain for 3 days or wiped it off after a day then re-applied it to sit for another day?

Nice, this thread is very informative, thanks all. Also, is white a pretty safe colour or can it stain too? I don't have a doll yet, but the doll I'm getting soon is darker in tone so now I'm wondering if white is going to be an issue. I'd really like to know how else you can prevent staining other than those body suits I see people use.

I applied a bit more on the 2nd day since the cream was dried off. The stain was barley visible by that time, but visually knew it was working. 3rd day it was all gone.

Thanks, I just applied the ointment a few hours ago. The stain on the ears is quite small and the ears are thin so it might not take as long.

I tried Cortizone 10 and it worked wonders. I was going to post photos but forgot. About 4 days ago I was dressing my doll with the second head that I have and notice a stain on her cheek. So I mounted her head on a stand and applied the Cor10. It was then I noticed a huge dark stain on the back of her head. It was puzzling because after the ordeal with Rachel's head from the wig I bought several tan color wig caps and washed all my girl's wigs. The only thing I can think of is the wig got wet when I gave Kristina a sponge bath. But this doesn't explain how it stained her cheek. Anyways, its been 4 days and the stain on her cheek is almost gone but the one on the back hasn't changed at all. I came back here and re-read the post and realized it was Oxy 10 that was suggested. I ordered Clean & Clear with 10% benzoyl peroxide and will give that a try. While I wait for it to arrive I will continue treating the stain with Cortizone 10.
