Finally plucked up the courage

Hello doll world,

I’m so excited to meet you all!

After 2 years of contemplating and deliberating I have finally decided I can not wait any longer to join this forum and purchase my first doll. I’ve been lurking in the shadows of tdf for a couple of years now dreaming about being able to have my own doll.
Thought by becoming a fully fledged member of tdf will hopefully bring me closer to my dream.
I now have the finances and space to purchase a beauty of my own.
Was thinking of going down the used route about a year ago but so glad I haven’t. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that) but just wanted to wait.
So glad I’ve plucked up the courage to finally take the leap into doll ownership.

Wish me luck on my doll journey people.

Now that you are a member, you will be able to access forums that allow you to compare brands (Dolls In General for example), you will also be able to send PMs to a member who owns a doll that you have questions about.

Good luck in your search for the ideal doll for you.

A tip: ask yourself the question of the weight that you can or want to handle (it depends in particular on your physical condition), this will guide your research. But more and more lightweight dolls, even large ones, are coming out at the moment, so the choice is getting bigger and bigger.

These gals encourage you to have a fun journey. Pick what you like. I have included the lightest tall doll a Zelex 172E (no kidding its balanced and feels like 70 some pounds, and an AK 165cm in the 60 pound range--light as well. Not everyones cup of tea but lighter weight for the 5 foot 6 inch to 5 foot 8 inch range.
