Cholecystitis. It was after they opened me up that they found the sepsis and that the stones were larger, the infection worse. That and I bled more than I was supposed to. Gotta run, i have 373 pages to read from a book I just got in order to take the final tomorrow night.

But i dont know how they could tell I was septic. That is blood poisoning and so yeah...

However I am going to try to get a copy of the operative report so I can see for myself. HH was the one who told me the findings as I only saw the surgeon before surgery and not since.

Yes, that is the year I was born. I am so sorry your Mom also had to go through this. I bet she had to have the open procedure, as I don’t believe the laparoscopic procedure was widely practiced at that time. Well, Doc is just my main dude’s name, unfortunately he isn’t a doctor in real life. Although if you get perverted enough “private” investigator could have a naughty meaning if ya know what I mean, LMAO!

I hope you did well on the Final! I'm happy you're feeling better.

I made a 90 on the final, but I am not improving in my health. Its ok though. HH has made a point to let it be k own how much of a burden I am and an inconvenience this situation has been. I wish I had died on the table to be honest. Then I wouldnt have put him out. No family came to see me or called. I did have one good local friend help in getting the kiddo to and from school two days this week. HH went back to work as soon as he could muster and he yells at me for being in pain, running a fever for 12 days straight, etc. so yeah, I wish I had died. Then lets throw in that my late daughter would have turned 16 tomorrow but she’s dead, so theres that. No family and no “friends” (local, not my TDF friends because I do know yall care) give a damn about that either. They “forgot” her or are sick of hearing about her. I cant wait until the hospital bills start rolling in and HH makes me feel even more worthless.

So sorry you are dealing with so much emotional pain on top of the physical suffering. I wish there was something I could do. All I can say is I sympathize, and have also had dark thoughts of feeling worthless, depressed, and even wanting it all to end. I hold onto the thought that no matter how bleak things are in the moment, all things do pass, and so will the pain. I'm just coming out of a very dark period in my life, and found that a meditation practice has been a godsend. I use an app called 10 percent happier. It requires a subscription to access all features (it was entirely worth it for me), but there are free features available too. I also reminded myself that no matter what my son needs me around and I will be there for him, if not for anything else.

I know only you fully understand what you are going through so I'm not trying to push any advice. Just know there are people here who are thinking about you and care.

HH is probably under pressure and doesn't know how to handle it, and things in general.

Stay in there - your young one needs you.

Don't be bitter and you didn't die on the table because you've got more to do and the world needs you.

In relation to those who haven't visited you, it's their loss, as they haven't earned your friendship nor love.

You'll come out of this stronger.

And you'll never miss an opportunity to visit someone.

Thank you, everyone. Here is the latest update:
No one in the hospital told me that I had to follow up with my surgeon. They told me I only needed to follow up with my regular doctor. So I did. My doctor/nurse practitioner told me that she couldn’t do a post op follow up and that I needed to see my surgeon. I told her of all the complications I have been having since the surgery and she could see I am still in a significant amount of pain with fever and she recommended that I call the surgeon ASAP. I told HH about this and he made the call to the surgeon. He also left work early to pick me up and take me to see the surgeon since I could not make the drive alone.
The surgeon notified me that my procedure wasn’t a regular procedure and that it was more complicated due to my condition at the time of surgery. My main incision is twice as long as well and it is going to be longer before I am healed and my recovery is expected to be more difficult, as it has already proven. He also put me on leave from school for the next five weeks.

Sorry to hear you're still in pain and facing a long recovery period, but heartened to know that there is a plan for your healing. I hope you are able to take full advantage the leave from school to get lots of rest and care.
