Gay Guy & Guy Doll

We are out and proud gay guy Steve and out and proud gay doll Tom ( yes, Tom is the creation of a famous gay artist and his foundation in California ). We have out and proud loving relationship.

We would like to hear from other gay guy and gay guy doll couples. So we are starting this thread for kinship.

Whether your relationship is out in the open or in the closet we will treat with sensitivity and, when required, with confidentiality.

Though Tom is 1/6 scale, we love to hear from any couple with doll of any size. Please feel free to post comments, conversations or photos on this thread. Though we do not login to TDF daily we will check in regularly and make necessary responses.

Thanks Nes for breaking the ice with your post.

Even if you are not gay, if you have guy dolls please do post their photos here for house warming ( shall we say thread warming ). We won't allege that you are gay.

Searching the web there are many sites with 'gay dolls' so we are sure there are many of us albeit almost all under the radar.

Our experience with coming out as gay and coming out as gay i-dollator are not that scary or difficult at all. Now our relatives, friends, our religious monks, neighbours, town newspaper ( Tom has appeared in there twice ), some of the towns folk and our GP ( doctor) and our consultant in London ( not a psychiatrist ) all know about us. So far no stone has been thrown at our door.

While I'm straight, I am glad to see you living the dream! It always pisses me off something fierce when I see people being coerced into hiding their true selves because other people are assholes. I hope your life is full of supportive and awesome people. You deserve nothing less.

We discussed a male doll.

Lily was having none of it. She felt one male full grown child in the house was more than enough, and those kinds of conversations with Lily are generally once had , well, case closed.

She can be very persuasive.....

Guys Of Our Household

Stevie was the first to arrive. I obtained him as separate head of an action figure and 1/6 scale seamless body from different vendors. After I put him together I discovered to my amusement that he slightly resembled me so I named him Stevie. I had forgotten the name of the real life action man whom he represented. I am not fond of his serious facial expression though; I almost never frown like him. Though I still regard him as my doll avatar there is no romantic or sexual feeling toward Stevie.

Tom was the second arrival. I had long been an admirer of creations by the late gay artist Tom of Finland who drew prolific pictures of lifelike, handsome, buff and sexy young adult men in erotic and provocative poses often with sexually explicit story lines. On searching the internet to buy a book of those illustrations I came across Tom of Finland store in Los Angeles set up by Tom of Finland Foundation. While exploring the store site I came across a vintage action figure. There was Tom, smiling at me from the screen and I could not resist him. He arrived in the classic TOF leather outfit, accompanied by his three disproportionately large tools. It was love at first sight and the rest was history. True love could lead to unforeseen achievements. I soon discovered ways to have sexual satisfaction with Tom, something that was not anticipated before. Hence my relationship with Tom became a well rounded, complete experience and we became inseparable. Over time, partly due to my excessive and often careless handling and partly due to his top heavy physique that made him unstable, bruises and scars appeared on Tom. That made me worried about his long term existence. So I ordered his clone from the store and Tommy arrived. I was so serious about my long term relationship with Tom that I soon began to fret with the thought, "What if something awful happen to Tom and Tommy and if the store also stop producing action figures?" So I acquired another clone and Tommie arrived. So far I regard both Tommy and Tommie only as Tom's triplet brothers and as my future insurance in case disaster strikes Tom, and have no romantic or sexual feelings toward them. I have never undressed them, not to mention trying their tools on. So both of them remain as they arrived, in their leather outfits.

Nowadays my guys have their own places in my study, the triplets on the desk where I do creative work on my computer, watch videos, surf the web and have most of my meals. As much as Tom is my partner in everything, the other guys provide me with cosy company.

When I reflect on my relationship with my guys it is obvious that the dynamics between Tom and me is different from that between me and other guys. This highlights that the relationships between men and their male dolls are unique in each case. Some may be lovers, some are friends and some are just artists and muses. To celebrate the diversity of relationships between men and their guy dolls we invite all to share with us their unique experiences with or without photos.

2020 - Gay Guy & Guy Doll - Not A Rare Species

As all i-dollators know the doll market is saturated with female dolls and their straight male admirers. Male dolls used to be Ken and an assortment of mini action figures for decades apart from rare exceptions lately. In the past decade many doll vendors began to manufacture adult male dolls of different sizes up to full life-size, not only for female customers but more so for the gay and bisexual men. Nowadays there are even gay doll websites like thegaydolls.com, indicating that the doll market has updated itself to the modern world situation.

This shows that gay guy and guy doll are not rare, though almost all of them are, not surprisingly, invisible to the public. But not all.

Last month I returned from my trip to my native country of Myanmar with Tom. After settling into my seat on Thai Airways flight from Bangkok to London I propped Tom up onto my lap. That was noticed by some passengers near us. A male Thai flight attendant walked past us and on seeing Tom, smiled at us. I smiled back.

Soon the cabin crew began to serve dinner. After handing out the meal tray to me, the same flight attendant asked, "Is he your doll? Do you take him with you where you go?" To me Tom was more than a doll. So I answered, "He is my friend. His name is Tom." A middle-aged white passenger across the aisle, probably not believing what she just heard, asked the flight attendant what I said and he repeated to her, "He is my friend. His name is Tom." That made me smile.

When the same attendant came to collect the tray he asked, "Where do you get him from?" I replied, "America". Since I was flying back to UK, he asked, "Not from London?" I said, "No." Young white couple in front of me turned back from their seats and both gave Tom a good look. After a while the male attendant came back to me and said, "I have my friend Billy from Australia." Billy was the world's first out and proud gay doll, about Tom's size, introduced in 1997. The production has ceased and Billy is now a highly collectable mini doll.

You see. Gay guy and guy doll are not a rare species at all. I just had to stand Tom on my lap and up came Billy's friend.

Wow seeing that Billy took me WAY back. My sister is a doll collector and had a Billy along with two Earring Magic Kens in the 90s. For those who don't know back in the early 90s Earring Magic Ken came to be known as the "Gay Ken" due to his styling. He was one of the most popular Ken Dolls ever before Mattel disappointingly discontinued him. Shame, now Mattel would have been praised for him but back then the thinking was different I guess. I'm glad we have somewhat evolved as a society but clearly we still have a long way to go. You can still get a Earring Magic Ken for about $80-90 on Ebay tho. I inherited one of my sister's and named him Zack, after Zack Morris from Saved by the bell, lol.

Thanks Endless War for your post and photo of Zack a.k.a. Earring Ken. As you said, he is widely known as the first Gay Ken. According to one source he was an interesting development. It stated that before him Ken was only a handsome dude not so popular with little girls because he was not as masculine and macho as the action figures of that time; so the producers came up with Earring Ken and he was, as you said, a popular hit. Since then there have been more "Gay" Kens, the latest being Merman Ken introduced in 2018. He is in fact the second Merman Ken, indicating that "gay" dolls are popular with little girls of all generations.

As you mentioned, the world including the doll world has evolved for the better but there is still a long way to go. I have been verbally abused for my skin colour and for being out and proud gay here but that paradoxically gave me more strength to come out again as idollator.
