My IL Doll ladies

So, to be honest I knew nothing about IL doll until a few days ago when a UK vendor announced a body sale, many with 50% off. There were a few in the sale by IL and one caught my eye, their 150D with gel and body paint. Having several spare heads means I'm often looking out for suitable bodies so decided to grab a bargain and I'm glad I did as the bod arrived today and is actually rather nice. So as far as the skeleton goes we have a hinged neck, shrugging shoulders, standing feet and palm plates in the hands with pretty thick finger wires. As for the bod, it's come with gel breasts and subtle body shading with veins which are not obtrusive but visible in certain light. Although this bod is just 150 cm I had no trouble finding clothing to fit and while I didn't have a head that was an exact skin tone match my Sherilyn is a light tan and doesn't look too bad although I've already decided to check out one of the IL heads in the same, natural, skin tone. Weight wise this bod is easily in my comfort zone at just 30kg and while taking some pics tonight I found posing easy with smooth joints and the bod also seems well balanced. When washing the bod today I noticed the lady parts looked nicely sculpted and where they should be and I do like the hands that are nicely detailed with neat finger nails. I'm looking forward to shooting this bod outside where I imagine it will look good in natural light, so here's a few pics I took this evening, this is Sherilyn who lost her bod to Dora last year and has been waiting patiently for another one to turn up!

You may have paid 50% but she is definitely 100% gorgeous!

Did you get that from Lucid toys UK?

I saw the 50% discount there.

Is the IL doll body compatible with other heads from different brands? M16 Compatible?

Look at your pictures, do the other heads you owned seem too big for this body given that it's only 150 cm with much narrower shoulders and waist?

Thanks! Yeah I'd forgotten how much I had missed seeing Sherilyn, her 74 head has been a long standing favourite although, as it happens, I've just ordered an IL silicone head to go with this bod so Sherilyn will have to find another bod to use next week! I will try and take some more pics first though!

I did indeed, I wasn't planning to get another doll just yet but at those prices it's hard to say no. So Sherilyn's head is not particularly small and to my eye looks ever so slightly too big but the effect goes away when she's dressed. As it happens I have 2 heads from another manufacturer which would be perfect for this bod but they are both in tan so the skin tone match is way off. I would say that there are still plenty of heads that would work well with this bod and yes it uses the same M16 thread that all my other dolls have so both the newer push fit and older threaded connectors will work. As I was so impressed with this IL body I decided to do it justice and get one of their silicone heads in the same skin tone so a Hiromi head should be here by the middle of next week at which point I will post some new pics here.

Would you mind if you could tell me what body height Sherilyn's head is designed for?

I ordered the same body from lucid toys a few days ago and was thinking of going for the Ashlynn head (called C15 on other sites) which is well-suited and the default option for this body. However, this head is not really the one I want to get the most (maybe I would change my mind if I get to see the factory picture of the head).

At the same time, I was worried that other IL heads will look too big on this body.

If your Hiromi head(I believe this is for a 156cm body.) doesn't look too odd on this body, this would even convince me to get other IL doll heads that are designed for bodies in the range 150 cm to 160 cm.

I'll wait for your posts after you got the new head.

I managed to squeeze in a few more pics of Sherilyn with my new IL150D this evening. As always it's a joy to work with a lighter doll, so easy to move and pose, she's also managed to stand in a pair of boots with a 5" heel without any foot mod! Although I've just ordered a new IL head for this bod I have to say that this combo is growing on me!

Hi again modafinil1120, to answer your question, Sherilyn's head is supposed to be compatible with bods from 145cm up to 175cm although personally I wouldn't go lower than 150cm. As the IL150D has a slender frame, then Sherilyn's head looks ever so slightly too big but with clothing on it's not noticeable, and most doll heads tend to be a little smaller than Sherilyn's. A good resource for advice is the vendor Dollstudio, they list the IL150D as being compatible with the Hiromi head so I would imagine it will be smaller than Sherilyn's but when mine arrives I will get some pics up asap so you will be able to see. Couple more shots of Sherilyn from last night. She seemed fine standing in those boots with a 5" heel, no doubt her light weight and stiff leg joints help but I also popped a couple of slipper socks onto her feet which have a 'grippy' bit on the bottom and help protect the feet...

It's my pleasure, I've just this afternoon received the Hiromi head I had ordered and am sorting out her makeup before uniting her with her new body. Must say that I'm impressed by the softness of this silicone head, it feels very close to the softness of tpe!

Nice Pics. This Hiromi looks gorgeous and it fits perfectly on this body. Chinese dress looks so sexy.

I just got my IL150D today and can't wait to get a new head for this body.
